Guys, I have a small issue that is driving me nuts. On JB when I would click a video link in web browser it would prompt for how to open it. I could choose MXPlayer to watch or ES Downloader to download video. Now. On KK when I click a video link it just plays on a new tab embedded. No defaults are set to clear and freezing all the video players on the phone makes no difference. Anyone else encountered this and successfully resolved?

BTW great ROM guys you're all awesome.

Go to app settings) all apps) look for stock videoplayer force stop clear default
Edit: do the same in whatever browser app that u are using.
 
Just switched to this from Hoark's original work. It feels very fast and looks very clean and polished (just booted). Just when Kitkat future for this phone looked a bit bleak.. (Hoark's work seems to have stalled) and I found this. Thank you so much!
Just wondering about the release date: is the latest one released in Oct 2014? Or is it more related to the original post update date (a lot more recent)?

While removing softwares with romkit toolbox, I can't seem to remove Google Search and other Google Suite softwares (Movies&TV, Gmail, Text2Speech, Youtube, etc.). I usually remove those non-essential system softwares (e.g. google suites, which are often outdated and needed redundant updates anyway) and then install them from store, so that they won't take up the little internal memory. Not sure why it can't be removed. Is it at the default system software locations? Any way to remove them? Thanks.

Mini.VOA its the latest....

To remove bloatware some of them are in system/apps.... other are in system/priv-apps... After updating the playstore app & gms.apk
Make sure you remove phonesky.apk & odex in priv-app then move playstore apk to the priv-app (permissions wr.r.r. owner root-root )....
 
trying to use h20 wireless with this and there's no data even with the right apn entered. does this rom work with att services and its mvno? Thanks.

update: it seems network doesn't work only when the network mode is set to "GSM/WCDFMA/LTE auto". If it's set to "GSM/WCDMA auto" then HSPA+ works (shows a 4G icon but no LTE). The H2O service does have LTE, or maybe F6 doesn't have radio that supports ATT's LTE? (not sure). Yet even if that's the case, 3G or 3.5G/HSPA+ should work too. Is there a bug with the 4G autoselect?

Look in the build prop there is a s****load of carrier tweaks all through it.
Let us Know what ya figure out. If your lucky someone else may have tried those carriers.
 
QUICK QUESTION EVERYONE, HAS ANYONE FIGURED OUT HOW TO DISABLE THE SWIPE UP FEATURE WHERE IT ONLY SHOWS GOOGLE AND QUICK MEMO? LOVE THE ROM BTW, NO ISSUES AND ITS MY DAILY DRIVER!
 
i dunno ...i looked...maybe you'll have to go through the build file and edit it or something....i got used to it..

if you like to tinker...and looking at code makes sense to you.....it's worth trying ...just to learn things no ones tried yet ;)

For this to be deactivated we or Viperdink would hav2 rewrite. Or find lg home or UI with out navigation keys capabilities.. The reason we hav the hm.search key its because in 4.4.2 we hav access to navigation keys within lg home... Remember this hm is built for non_home hardware botton devices. So probably the only way its to turning it off from within either UI,Hm.apk or settings.apk somewhere there. Sorry.. I thing that its sometimes useful. @ least for me.
 
It's easier for most people to use another launcher and lock screen. I prefer a custom launcher anyway personally . The only reason i left LG home was because everybody asked to be able to use the lg themes.
 
I do like it alot . Its so much eaiser when you have such great specs. It will spoil you . Its like night and day. With the latest promotion You guys should concider it .
 
OK..... yeah... I checked it out online.... And did a side by side at the store(even thou that's kinda superficial)

I thought about attempting to get one..... But, I think I'd still rather have an s3 ... even thou it's been out for years and s4 s5 are out..

s3 is still a sports car compared to what I can afford....

Besides... what challenge would there be with a phone that can do almost everything?..

The dev's here are still kicking buttocks with this wonky platform.....

Hey i paid more for both my F6 phones and still have one ( wife won't let near her baby thou) but the avant G386t1 is no where near as limp. You gotta get out more bud. Times are changing and I do think its time to move to something newer, I do have much love for the F6 but there just comes a time to put something newer and nicer in your pockets.
Hell I still dev on my admire and my motion and their not even carrier supported here in the snake pit. I keep an alcatel fierce 1 in service just to remind me to " Don't fall in love". LOL
