Root [CDMA] Get ready for OTA's!

Oh, no, you are kidding, right?
Unfortunately, I'm not. It's completely unresponsive. I was kind of expecting it, but had high hopes. It would have been really nice if it worked. I'm not sure there's anything I can do with it or not.

Damn, sorry man. I really don't know either since fastboot relies on the bootloader you no longer have. I am not aware of other modes on this device to do anything :(

Hey, I didn't have to flash it. Don't feel bad, I should have known better. I don't think there's anything other than the bootloader on it. Oh well. Maybe I'll find another cheap one somewhere.

Yes, the zip only has the bootloader on it. I am guessing the abootBackup must store it in a different format or something. As I said, I had no idea what it would do. Still sorry your device is wasted now :(

How is battery life for everyone? It seems improved for me honestly. And I also agree with SuperR, the new radio seems to be making a significant improvement in signal strength. Before lollipop I'd get 2-3 bars at home..normally 2. With lollipop I now almost always have 4/5.

Glad you have noticed improvements, but it was starkraving that mentioned this about improvement. I have not updated my modem yet.

Oops..then, yes, I agree with starkraving! Lol. So is there any way to get the KitKat boot loader back? I bricked my phone trying to downgrade back to KitKat...like an idiot. It took me forever to fix it, but oddly what ended up working was flashing Asia dual Sim stock 4.4.4 via fastboot. Long story short, while doing all this I forgot to check my bootloader version after flashing that. I assume it was still lollipop though because trying to flash boost stock 4.4.4 via fastboot after installing the dual sim Asian one failed.

Yeah signal is way stronger. After I updated my profile and stepped outside...

-41dbm is pretty strong considering I live on the outer ring of metro Las Vegas.

Here is a huge bummer. I just did a nandroid from cwm, wiped data, installed a new rom, booted back to recovery, wiped everything, restored my backup, and it is stuck on the splash image. I hope this does not mean we can't backup/restore Lollipop. Anyone else have any luck with this?

Yeah happened to me I just forced a reboot holding power till it rebooted.

I am wondering if it is 1 of 3 things causing the restore to not work properly. Xposed, Root, or Lollipop (incompatible recovery). It might even be a combination of more than one of them. I will be annoyed if I can't restore backups :(

edit: I am guessing it's Xposed

Are you able to get into recovery and just reflash the rom?

In hind sight, I guess I should have restored, then wiped cache and dalvik cache before booting. I did it after it wouldn't boot and it did not help. I am not willing to try it again now lol

@SuperR here is a link where you can find a TWRP recovery that was made to work with Lollipop. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/modmultirom-v30wip08-01-2014-t2997071 . I have successfully backed up and restored with Xposed installed and modules activated. The multirom functions won't hurt anything so just ignore them. I know you like your CWM swipe so I'm gonna test a CWM 6.0.5.1 swipe I found but can't remember where. When I do I will put up a link. One other thing. I think I may be able to resurrect my test phone. I scoured the internet looking for possibilities and the most promising was here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/orig-development/bootloader-tool-motoflasher-t2959076 . The problem is, I can't get it to flash the 4.4.4 files and there isn't 5.0 files yet. I need the boot loader in this format: MBM -CI5.0, so the developer of the program can change it to work with the program. They look like this in the program files:

The phone has been constantly trying to boot since I flashed that zip and the PC will read it as it should in it's state so I guess if I can get the proper file I can fix it. I'm hoping if I keep the phone plugged in so the battery doesn't die until I get it it will work. Only problem is, on the web page for the program there are a lot of people who screwed up their phones and are annoying the person assigned to the problem. Hopefully he doesn't get so annoyed he leaves everyone screwed. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

It'll be a good thing if you can get it restored...could be a valuable tool moving forward.

Nice. Thanks man. I will give it a shot when I get a chance :)

I am not seeing the image you tried to post.

Off topic...has anyone using nova had an issue installing the latest beta on lollipop? It won't install for me on the G or N5...
