Oh, no, you are kidding, right?Well, now I have a brick. Oh well.
Unfortunately, I'm not. It's completely unresponsive. I was kind of expecting it, but had high hopes. It would have been really nice if it worked. I'm not sure there's anything I can do with it or not.Oh, no, you are kidding, right?
Hey, I didn't have to flash it. Don't feel bad, I should have known better. I don't think there's anything other than the bootloader on it. Oh well. Maybe I'll find another cheap one somewhere.Damn, sorry man. I really don't know either since fastboot relies on the bootloader you no longer have. I am not aware of other modes on this device to do anything![]()
Yes, the zip only has the bootloader on it. I am guessing the abootBackup must store it in a different format or something. As I said, I had no idea what it would do. Still sorry your device is wasted nowHey, I didn't have to flash it. Don't feel bad, I should have known better. I don't think there's anything other than the bootloader on it. Oh well. Glad you have noticed improvements, but it was starkraving that mentioned this about improvement. I have not updated my modem yet.How is battery life for everyone? It seems improved for me honestly. And I also agree with SuperR, the new radio seems to be making a significant improvement in signal strength. Before lollipop I'd get 2-3 bars at home..normally 2. With lollipop I now almost always have 4/5.
Yeah happened to me I just forced a reboot holding power till it rebooted. Here is a huge bummer. I just did a nandroid from cwm, wiped data, installed a new rom, booted back to recovery, wiped everything, restored my backup, and it is stuck on the splash image. I hope this does not mean we can't backup/restore Lollipop. Anyone else have any luck with this?
I did the same, still won't boot. I guess I will start over lolYeah happened to me I just forced a reboot holding power till it rebooted.

Are you able to get into recovery and just reflash the rom?I am wondering if it is 1 of 3 things causing the restore to not work properly. Xposed, Root, or Lollipop (incompatible recovery). It might even be a combination of more than one of them. I will be annoyed if I can't restore backups
edit: I am guessing it's Xposed
Yes, and it works fine. Just annoying since I already had everything set up the way i wanted. Are you able to get into recovery and just reflash the rom?
Well good...I'd have to guess its xposed not playing nice in the system partition.Yes, and it works fine. Just annoying since I already had everything set up the way i wanted.
It'll be a good thing if you can get it restored...could be a valuable tool moving forward.@SuperR here is a link where you can find a TWRP recovery that was made to work with Lollipop. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/modmultirom-v30wip08-01-2014-t2997071 . I have successfully backed up and restored with Xposed installed and modules activated. The multirom functions won't hurt anything so just ignore them. I know you like your CWM swipe so I'm gonna test a CWM 6.0.5.1 swipe I found but can't remember where. When I do I will put up a link. One other thing. I think I may be able to resurrect my test phone. I scoured the internet looking for possibilities and the most promising was here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/orig-development/bootloader-tool-motoflasher-t2959076 . The problem is, I can't get it to flash the 4.4.4 files and there isn't 5.0 files yet. I need the boot loader in this format: MBM -CI5.0, so the developer of the program can change it to work with the program. They look like this in the program files:![]()
The phone has been constantly trying to boot since I flashed that zip and the PC will read it as it should in it's state so I guess if I can get the proper file I can fix it. I'm hoping if I keep the phone plugged in so the battery doesn't die until I get it it will work. Only problem is, on the web page for the program there are a lot of people who screwed up their phones and are annoying the person assigned to the problem. Hopefully he doesn't get so annoyed he leaves everyone screwed. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
Nice. Thanks man. I will give it a shot when I get a chance@SuperR here is a link where you can find a TWRP recovery that was made to work with Lollipop. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/modmultirom-v30wip08-01-2014-t2997071 .
