Hey there! I use the Android Wifi Tether app. (Mods: I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this, however I also saw this link in another thread.) It works like a charm. You want to download the 1.70 pre2 version.

Things that could be deleted but I haven't tried or want to try because I use them.
9) Quickoffice
10) calendar apk and widget.
11) contacts The WIDGET NOT THE APP!!! I REPEAT DON'T REMOVE APP BUT ONLY THE WIDGET!!!!!
12) MAIL WIDGET Again not the app unless you want to go with out email or if you don't use it But I'm not even sure about this one.

And again do this AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Don't come complaining if something goes wrong Thats why you make Backups.
Taking out the first six frees up about 8.5 mb..You can use this for a long Bootanimation.

I don't think stupid questions exist, just stupid answers. And a lot of them :D
I would just try some free tethering apps. See if they work.
I use wireless tether for root users on my Eris running Aloysius 2.0 v5
android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code
 
How can I set download/sync frequency for Gmail?

I open Gmail, go to menu --> settings but don't see any option. Nothing in settings --> accounts & sync either...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe if you have the option checked to sync your google account, you get an immediate push for emails, and whatever you have checked to sync with google, i.e. calendar and contacts as well. go to settings -> sync -> and tap on your google acct that you have set up to sync, it should give you all the options you want to sync. I know that I get immediate notifications to my phone when I get an email or when I add something to my google calendar, assuming that I have wifi or 3g signal.

I tried doing what droidkevlar suggested here, so far it seems to be doing better. At least I got my test e-mail I sent from another account... time will tell I suppose.

EDIT: Figured it out - it was because I had deleted the Talk.apk. Causes an error where new emails don't get pushed to the phone.
 
Well I finally decided to upgrade my phone to this today, and there just happens to be a new version of 2.1 leaked. Will this ROM be updated? Or would it still use the same file, and I just have to wait for the new rooted 2.1 first?

Love this Rom. The only issue I have is Swype doesn't recognize it as an "android" phone, so i can't re-download the apk.
 
I had swype lite, but like the beta better.

I'm gunna try the market fix now.

Also: I'm having issues with the "SuperUser Permission". Anytime I try and run something that's root-only, it goes to this black screen with "super user permision" at top..

You need to go into settings > applications > development... and make sure debugging is checked

Awww! Just when I switched to EE2.0. :( Let's see what this update brings to the table. :D Also, if I switch back, will I have access to my paid apps, even if it involves the market fix app? I've looked here and on XDA, and I can't find a coherent answer regarding switching roms and retaining access to paid apps.

Great job on the ROM btw! I'm looking forward to the next release.
 
If you flash the EE2.0 rom with apps2sd set up, and have partitioned your sd card correctly, you won't have to worry about losing your apps, they will still be there.

only if this version has a2sd, which im not sure if it will. no reply from the dev on it so far.

i have a feeling that it will not be though.

I rooted not too long ago and have tried a ton of ROMs since. This one is my favorite by far. I cannot wait for the update. Any idea of when it will be available?

i've tried downloading this 2 times now from grdlock's site, but both times i end up with a 96 mb .txt file... any ideas why I can't get the .zip file?

and no, this needs a wipe.

a2sd is NOT working, me and tkirton are working on getthing this up and running though

haha. i just enjoy all this. its fun and a great learning experience for me. eventually i want to create my own rom and troubleshooting all theses others help me know what to do and not to do when making my own.

i call it background research :)

trying to get the senseable working still. not sure whats going on. ran into a few walls lol. will keep you all posted though
