Sprint Employees Begin EVO 4G Training; Screenshots a Plenty | AndroidGuys

It's training material for the EVO --

My question, is the Evo going to require a special plan? If you look at screenshot 4, it says a plan designed for the Evo, while screenshot 5 is the one talking about the hotspot. Is there some other difference in plan other than the hotspot for the Evo?

I saw this too. I'm hoping it just means for those that don't have a data plan. It will be strange because I have a family plan and not sure if the other two lines will be getting EVO's.

I don't know what it is with Engadget's website, but for whatever reason whenever I go to look at the pics, it gets stuck on one picture regardless of which thumbnail I click on.

Is that a long time?
Yes that is on the longer side. I have seen them go past 6 months, and have to be reissued.

It was filed on feb 23, tested from march10-april 19. And issued on the april 27.

They really worked her over too. wow, I thought the increadible got taken to the cleaners.

It also needs to be said. They can not test until the unit shows up and all the paper work is done.

Sprint is a CDMA carrier, so no SIM cards. It would have to be a microSD.

2 pieces of info here. 1) If there's one thing we can take from this FCC filing, it's a confirmation that the battery will be model # RHOD160.

Google search on RHOD160

2) I had my wife call our home owner's insurance (Amica) and ask them about extending coverage to our cell phones. The rep she talked to said as long as our phones have internet access (?) they can be covered. He also said our laptops, desktops, camera's, camcorder, Zune & iPods can all be covered under the plan. The cost you ask? $20 per year with a $50 deductible!! Hearing that I quickly cringed at how much money I've wasted on extended warrantee's to date.

Edit: The $20 is for $6,500 worth of coverage, because they apparently cover lost software on the PC's too.

I noticed that there's a short-term confidentiality until June 30, 2010 for External, internal and test photos...as well as user manual.

Uhh there's about 61 pictures total... Just go to River's post above linking to the FCC site, and that's what all the pictures are.

There's about 60 pictures total, so posting them all would be kinda...difficult.

Yeah, saw River's post after I posted...Thanks.

what do they cover? lost and damaged? water damage? nice deal.. better than spending 7 bucks a month from sprint.
He was wondering if it would be a world phone I think, and no it will not.
The radios.
CDMA: OQPSK, HPSK
WIMAX: QPSK1/2, QPSK 3/4, 16QAM1/2, 16QAM 3/4

I noticed that as well, and in the comments on the Engadgeget site someone mentioned that the phone probably won't be released publicly until then. Although just to get this out there, I don't see that being the case.

I do wonder what "exactly" that means....

That is even more reason for us to find out if we get charged sales tax on online orders.

It would also be nice to know if Sprint is giving there mail in rebate via check or a VISA card.

These are two main considerations whether or not I will be buying the EVO from BB RS or Online.
When I got my pre back in Aug of last year. I got the mail in rebate in the form of a check. Hopes this helps. I am so ready to get the evo. LOL

LOL

The increabile would be release in august 18 2010 then. <edit> I am soo sorry I lied to you, it was august 6, 2010,</edit>

It means that the fcc can not show those parts until after that date. Nothing more

Also on another note, I was out about in the beautiful city of Springfield - MO. So I wound up stopping at a Sprint Kiosk, and talking to the "manager" of it. He was SUPER nice and very shocked at my interest in the Evo. I guess maybe he thought my fiance would be the one spouting off the hardcore facts of the Evo...BUT ANYWAY...he said he doesn't get why none of the other Sprint stores in the area have a waiting list yet, and he added me to his. He also mentioned he was told the first week of June. So then I headed over to BB, and the mobile guy there said they had no info of any sort at this time, but told me to find their facebook page specifically the mobile department and they'd keep info posted on there. He said they usually pre-sale the phone about a week before release day, and its the $50 on a gift card.

I didn't think to ask him some of the questions I've gathered from this forum. Such as an actual hold on an Evo for buying into the pre-sale gig. Or anything along the lines of an early release of sorts for Reward Zone members. However they just called me in regards to a job there, so here's to hoping =) LOL

Just wanted to share my personal experience, that goes along with what most everyone else is experiencing on their end.
