Me and my friends always post our selfies to Wechat.I have a lot of contacts on FB who constantly post selfies... Do or Don't? I personally hate them.

Special occasions only. Standing in front of some nice scenery on vacation is ok, I don't need to see you waiting for a McMuffin in the drive-through.I have a lot of contacts on FB who constantly post selfies... Do or Don't? I personally hate them.
"Help!...I'm soooo hung over"Driving to get a mcmuffin is clearly a cry for help....

Bob is very popular on Facebook.
He likes to be very cliche.
Bob is cool to his friends.
Don't be a Bob.
OCDHmm. Not sure where I'd fit. 2 dogs, 2 parakeets, 4 snakes, 6 geckos and a tortoise. So yeah.

“Selfie” is not just word of the year, but also the mainstay of postings on social media sites such as Instagram....personally, I see them as the pinnacle of narcissism. The name itself tells it all.
Exactly!Like I tell my daughter, selfies are a gateway drug... before you know it, you're naked on the Internet.
Exactly!
I absolutely Hate the term myself. I must admit that I have taken a few shots of myself (Halloween, wearing sports jerseys) to make a point or be a bit silly, but it is on very rare occasions. And even then, I hate the term Selfie, because, as you said, it is a very narcissistic term. Personally, if I have to use a term, I call it Self Shots or Self Pictures or Self Images...not Selfies.
When I post selfies on the interwebs, I just make damn sure I'm not posting to grooming or perverts.Like I tell my daughter, selfies are a gateway drug... before you know it, you're naked on the Internet.

Exactly! It is narcissistic, I feel. But I would rather take a photo of something, or someone else, and not have my ugly mug in the shot!
I don't really get this obsession with wanting to be in the photo yourself.
Actually on Wechat, you do. Also they take a very dim view of anything that's out of order in this country.Like you have a choice in the matter who sees your post...
We've all seen your selfies. When I post selfies on the interwebs, I just make damn sure I'm not posting to grooming or perverts.
