It occurs to me that Superman pretty much ruined the "spit curl" look for everyone, I mean who would dare do it now if not wearing red and blue tights?

We were also poor ( Actually I still am ) so we never really got to eat out or at fast food joints until I got in High School and got a Job at Wendy's ........ Oh how I love that triple Bacon cheeseburger w/ Fries.

Growing up McDonalds was a treat to be sure, usually only for breakfast before summer vacation with the grandparents. Otherwise it was mac n cheese with hot dogs cut up in there or raman or burgers on bread or ... you get the idea.

CHIEEEEEEEEEEFS!!!!! First place baby!
That is all, you can resume your normal programming

Kansas City Chiefs v. New England Patriots

That would be a great Super Bowl seeing as how I've been both places. I was really confused about all the Italian and Irish names in Kansas City back when I visited though. I mean it's like the Midwest.. What's up with that?

Kansas City has a VERY large Irish community. Goes back to the founding days of the city. Bonus, we have a fantastic St. Patrick's day parade each year!
;)

I found that out actually later after embarrassing myself at a training conference.

But which Kansas City are you from shalemail? I know for a fact it's not the one under my bed. I was in the one that downtown had a plaque about the big flood.

Floods in Kansas
?

I am actually on the Kansas side, in the outskirts. And yes we've had a couple really big floods in my 45 years. We do have 2 major rivers in the greater KC area, the (wait for it) Kansas and Missouri. The Missouri is the one that usually gives us trouble.

That's where I was, Missouri.

Dinkladge, Peter Dinkladge. You know him from Game of Thrones but did you know he was the savior of two major motion pictures (for geeks like us)? He was one of the best things about Pixels and Underdog.

Saw both (Pixels and Underdog - huge fan of the old Underdog cartoons BTW but I digress) and he was definitely a bright spot in both, though I have to admit (somewhat hesitantly) that I enjoyed both movies, Pixels more than Underdog. That's embarrassing.

Interesting how my new phone selectively installs apps from my account: if it competes with a pre-installed app, it is not installed.

Better yet, it's not even listed in the My Apps section, even if I'd paid for it in the past.
