PRL Update For Poor Signal For Incredible..

This is a number you can use for any Verizon phone to help with connection issues. It reprograms the phone for your location. I'm not sure on the specifics but its recommended to be done every 30 days or when you travel to a different state.

I'm pretty sure the OP is correct. I've never done a *228 update and had a download/restart before.

The only problem is that its not going to help. If you goto settings, about, network, and look at signal strength there you will get a more accurate view of your signal. The range I believe is between -75 and -110, -75 being the best. A rep from HTC said that the signal strength bars don't mean much and you shouldn't pay attention to them while you are not actively using the phone ( on a current phone calll).

I knew it wouldn't do anything, but I did it out of boredom. 51866 before and 51866 after.

for the record, it always does a reboot on the Incredible when you update. It didn't on my BB Tour, however.

In your post it says to download the file to the root of your sd card. Sorry but is that doing something different then just putting it on your sd card?

no it would be the same, just open the SD card with the computer and put it right there, no folders
