That is the same case I have and I love it.

There is a person on here that has a link for 30% off these cases, but I couldn't find the post. Hopefully they speak up in this thread.

Just ordered this case as well... Will post my results/thoughts when i get it.
discount coupon worked like a charm.

My sole worry is will the case impede my touch screen even slightly.
I know my ipod touch case can be a PITA from time to time...

I ended up buying this one and it was utter garbage. Not only did it not only did it look bad (every where the website shows it being white, it was silver, and some of the lines actually seemed to have warped in the molding process), it felt incredibly cheap, as well as making the phone feel a lot bulkier (I couldn't glide my finger off the edge when browsing through home screens for example). I had it on my Hero all of 20 minutes before I decided to take it off, when it ended up snapping in half.

Also in the same order a friend ordered a case for her Pre and they shipped this Hero case on accident, and while it seemed like it would provide a bit more protection with less of the bulk of mine, it still looked and felt pretty cheap, like it cost roughly 2 cents worth of material to make.

I am using some skins that I got at the sprint store when I got my phone in my front right pocket with work phone or keys in front left.

I actually like the sprint skins.

i wasn't going to get a case at all, but i decided, for 16 bucks (with the Premier discount of 25%) you get two of them, so what the hell!

The nice thing is, it's very slim, so it doesn't add bulk AND it SUPER easy to take on and off.

I had a Seidio case for my Touch and broke 3 of them trying to get to the SD card. These are very easy.

First time I took it off my Hero it snapped in the upper right corner.

I opted to go with the Zagg Invisible Shield
HTC Hero (Sprint) Full Body

Thanks for your feedback I was toying with the idea of something simular to your snapped case... I will take your advice and steer clear

The zagg is what i really wanted. alas I am poor and unemployed so a no go for me.
I am still waiting on my rubber dealy
it JUST shipped so we will see how it goes from here

I just installed my full body Zagg protector a few minutes ago… looks great! I've got to have my phone in my right front pocket. If not, I feel lost. Wallet and keys in the front left. I’m not sure how folks carry wallets in their back pocket. I’ve been waiting for my local BestBuy to get the Zagg in, but they couldn’t even give me a timeframe. I just figured I should go ahead and get it before I scratch the screen. I ended up buying it from Zagg online. I googled around and got me a coupon for 10.00 off… made up for the difference in the screen protector vs full body.

did you pay out the door ?

I bought a small camera bag made by case logic. It cost me 7 bucks at Wal-Mart and is way overkill on protection but its worth the extra hassle to me. I can also carry a few little things in the bag along with my phone so it works for me.

I guess you should, but I just did it. You spray the liquid on the film and not the phone itself. It's not that much liquid... I don’t think its enough to do any damage. If I had to do it all over again I’m not sure I would get the full body one. With the coupon I got it covered the difference between the full body and just the screen protector... that’s the only reason I got the full body one. The screen protection and back protection came out good. I don’t care for how the sides, top and bottom came out. It looks fine, but you can feel the edges. It’s a minor thing I guess when you consider the whole phone is protected. I really don’t mind a few scratches on the phone. My main concern was the screen. Difficulty level of 1-10... I would have to say and 8ish. It wasn’t really hard, but I don’t have much patience. The hardest part is seeing where it’s lining up. I mean it’s crystal clear and hard to see once its on the phone.
Sorry, someone asked how much did I pay. I bought it directly from Zagg.com and paid 24.00... that's with shipping.

I carry it with a silicone skin in my right front pocket with keys and junk in my left front pocket and my curve (work phone) in a leather case clipped onto my right front pocket or onto my belt.

I will be buying the zagg screen protector for my phone to protect the screen.

Those that have one, how is the feel. Does your finger kinda stick to the screen or does it still slide with ease for scrolling and stuff? I heard the zaggs have grip to them..but I dont want grip on the screen as I want my finger to roll across with ease.

The Zagg protector does give it a little tacky feel. Regular navigation and sliding of the finger works just fine. The touch sensitivity didn

@SprintMan:

Did you notice any change in the color of screen with the protector on? I've heard that the InvisibleShields can give the screen a slightly yellowish tint.

This is a great thread for cases! When I got my phone three weeks ago, Googling for cases came up with nothing... Glad to see there is so much already available.

I bought a silicone case from Best Buy that was actually for some kind of T-mobile or Verizon phone that fit around all off the buttons and camera lens. Wasn't aware of the Zagg covers, but ordered the same thing from Bodyguardz - BodyGuardz for Sprint Hero - BodyGuardz - which is essentially the same thing, and the same price, and free shipping, with two complete sets.

I'm lefthanded, and carry my phone in my left pocket, wallet in my right pocket, and keys in my back right pocket.

I was thinking after I put the protective film on, I would still put on some sort of protective case, and there are some great ones to consider in this thread, but I'm wondering if anyone thinks this might keep too much heat inside the phone? I know heat can shorten battery time, and slow down the processor.... what do you think?

If you really want to go custom, this is a website to watch - Vaja Leather Products - at Vaja Leather Products . Look under phones. Currently, they don't have one for the HTC Hero yet, but there is a sign-up page to notify you when they do.

Here's an example of a iPhone case that might be similar to what I would like my phone in...

Vaja CHOICE

... this website loads up slow, so be patient. The leather-work is outstanding!

I also have the full body Zagg InvisibleSHIELD on my Hero and I must say that I'm very happy with the protection it gives the phone while not adding any bulk. Getting it for free was just an added bonus.

how did you get it free?

I work for the cell phone kiosk inside Sams Club and I had someone that opened a kiosk in the mall that sells the InvisibleSHIELDs offer to put one on my phone. In return she asked that if someone were to ask me about it to send them her way.

After reading a bunch of Zagg InvisibleShield reviews on amazon, I'm frankly terrified to put this thing on my Hero. The general consensus is that it's difficult to get on perfect, without fingerprints and scuffs. There were also a few people who damaged their gadgets when liquid leaked in to the screen! Speaking of which, the Hero screen is silky smooth and I would hate to cover it up with something stickier and also negate the oleophobic properties.

I might just try to go naked with this phone (as much as that also terrifies me).

If anyone needs a Hero Screen Protector (new, in box) and is in the Bay Area, let me know! I'll give it to you CHEAP.

I'll be in the Bay Area for New Years. Does it have that tacky feel to it? My friend has a full body one on his G1 and i feel r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d cause i can never slide my finger on his screen, plus the whole phone feels.... 'greasy' if you will.
