That's the day before Unix epoch...1-1-1970. So my GUESS is that you have an issue within your current file structure that relates to time output. However, I have no idea where to look.

This is how it shows up for me 1969-12-31
I used to get it in my email but I havent seen one for about 6 months, but now when I look at comments on Facebook there it is.....just a random date with no comments or anything. It is starting to get annoying not knowing what this means or what to do about it!

Are they spam, by any chance? I see that occasionally, and it's always spam, not from a legitimate company.I have been getting a serious "rash" of these 12/31/1969 emails from many different companies since fall of 2018.
Hopefully this thread isn't closed.

I attribute this to morons who claim they know how to program computers, but in reality can't even program a VCR or Smart Watch.
Yes, the UNIX epoch was 01/01/1970. And to think, I was completely unaware of it at the time!that date like it was mentioned earlier is the date unix was released

well from what i know that date like it was mentioned earlier is the date unix was released. they use that date to emphasize an error in reading the date time stamp.
what email app are you using? is it setup with pop? imap?

Ha ha ha.Unix Epoch?
Sounds like a venereal disease![]()
No, it's basically just a nerdy way of saying that's when UNIX started keeping time. On UNIX systems (which include Linux and, therefore, Android), timekeeping has been measured in seconds(?) since the epoch.Indeed. Well, I got there as fast as I could!Quite frankly in 1970 I don't think that too many were aware of it at all. Only the peeps at Bell Labs probably.

so are you using aol as your email acct? is this where you are getting these weird emails?Have had AOL app for years. Dont know about that other stuff.
