Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

My order just shipped. Overnight was specified but its shipping second day...I won't complain, its on its way now.

Ordered 5/11
 
Just got off the phone with CSR and she said that orders placed 5/10-5/12 are being shipped out this week with the last day being 5/28 (Friday). Take that for what its worth.

That would make sense considering I was told my May 13th order will ship by June 1st.

Maybe 5/12 orders (myself included) will get a confirmation tomorrow or Wednesday...hopefully tomorrow. ;)

The wait has been killing me. I'm running out of Incredible Youtube videos to watch. Haha!
 
Just got shipping confirmation for 5/11 order. FINALLY.

EDIT: My "free overnight" delivery turned into 2 day as well. At this point, I am not complaining.

I was just told the same thing. I ordered on 5/11 or 5/12, depending on which CSR I talk with and they said it should ship this week. I actually paid for overnight shipping when I ordered it, but they can't tell me if it will ship that way or not. Makes me wonder if anyone really knows what's going on there.

Funny, I was told - 4 times - that they definitely ship overnight. I repeated it back, even, and was told yes.

Also when I ordered, there were no shipping options to choose from - it simply said free overnight shipping.

They are just giving the date it said on the website for "ship by" when you ordered. I don't think the CSR you spoke to based their info on anything but that.

I'm a 5/13 order and was told this morning that mine is set to ship overnight. If they switch me to 2-day, the chances of me getting it before the long holiday weekend are much slimmer.
 
I'm a 5/13 telephone order, card charged and haven't seen or heard anything at this point. All my accessories, except the Innocase, are sitting here waiting with me.

I would think that if someone paid for overnight shipping that they should get overnight shipping. If not, they would be due a refund for the difference.

As for the overnight shipping being second day, I used a coupon for Free Overnight shipping, If I paid a lot for it though, I would have been livid!

I did the free overnigh promo code so I'm guessing mine will be converted to second day as well.
 
With all the delays this phone will likely arrive while I am out of town. Will Fed Ex hold it or will it go back to verizon? This has really turned into a debacle.

Once you get your FedEx tracking, the whole thing is between you and FedEx. You'll need to call them. They're usually pretty flexible. They've been know to redirect to alternate addresses. One time, I arranged to meet the truck along the route because I wasn't able to be home to sign for the package.
 
i ordered my incredible in store on 5/18 and at this point it seems like it will be sometime time around christmas that i recive an email saying its on its way and hopefully get the phone just befor the new year (ok so its not really that bad i just want the damn phone in my hand) with all of that said this will be my first ever "smart" phone i curently have an enx2 (insert laughter here) and it has been all i needed but i decided that since my NE2 was eligable for upgrade i wanted the latest and greatest so i went with the INCREDIBLE. im now starting to wonder if it will be worth the wait or if i should go to the store and get the next choice down and be satisfied that i have the not so latest and not so greatest thing? all coments are welcome and any info on when a 5/18 is even possible to get processed will be helpful. thank you in advance for your input.

I have a friend who once followed a Fedex truck through town and intercepted him in a parking lot to get the package she was waiting on!! I wonder how many people will be doing that for their phones... LOL!! :D
 
Honestly, as long as the wait may seem, in the end, it will be worth it. At worst, some people are being told it will ship within 3 weeks, and most 2 weeks. I think a 3 week wait isnt too long, to get 2x the processor, 8GB more storage, etc (compared to the Droid), seeing as you will use the phone for much longer than 3 weeks. :D

Assuming no financial considerations, are you even serious that you'd stick yourself with significantly lesser device for 2 years because you can't wait 2 weeks?

Sure, the waiting sucks, but I wouldn't even consider the alternative.
