Thanks for taking the time to respond, but with respect, I *think* I am doing it right. I am unzipping contents into its own folder and placing that folder in /nandroid on my SD card. I reboot my phone while holding down "X" to get to recovery then choose "nandroid" and "recover" followed by selecting the correct folder (there are two in the /nandroid dir including the backup of NexBeast). The update takes awhile, but I know it's wrong as soon as I see apps like Slacker being installed according to the update log. Any ideas?
Give it awhile to sync all your apps and stuff. And a couple of reboots, with battery pulls is a good idea too. You'll be surprised that it keeps getting faster and faster.
Anyone have anyluck on the tethering?
I was not able to get the wired tethering to connect
anyone with info im at a standstill cant get this thing on ive now followed every instruction to a T i downloaded file twice extracted put the folder in clockwork back up wiped several times went into restore selected backup and all i get is md5 mismatch error

Ah, I lied. Went to the natural bridge today instead, and now I'm back in Lexington.

Anybody having problems using Titanium Backup to restore your apps? Every time I try to do a batch restore, my phone just reboots. Grrrrr.

Read above post...Birdman is a dev and will be releasing a version with wifi soon...

anyway to prevent the market downloads from automatically reinstalling apps
I'll write up some instructions when I get back from dinner. I was caught up in the excitement that I just assumed that everyone knew how to install via nandroid.
Edit: or John could do it

I had it happen on the first batch restore and then I was okay after that. I would mention on the 2nd attempt, I restored less apps and I went back later and restored the rest. Worked okay and I'm guessing that I had an app like the NFL app that Titanium can never seem to backup or restore properly.
That is how my install wrapped up just prior to me rebooting phone. Everything "appears" to be working, but is that something I can fix or should I not be concerned about it?...

Hey Fab,
I don't know if this has been mentioned but the kernel I downloaded from your OP were backwards.
The 1.1GHz Kernel was actually clocked up to 1.2GHz (not 1.25...just 1.2)
The 1.25GHz Kernel was actually clocked up to 1.1GHz.
I renamed the files appropriately all is good, just FYI
