I hooked up my USB to my nexus running Dirty Unicorn:

Since I don't own a Windows System I never use a Fat or NTFS format for my stuff. I recently decided to take the tablet and just make a media tablet with it. I have 32gig version so plenty of...
I bought a refurb 1st gen Nexus 7 off ebay a few months ago. It came with 5.0 installed which was a nightmare. I back reved to 4.4.4 and it is now at least usable but wifi is soooo slow. I will barely get 1 bar on the wifi and speedtest shows 6mb down and then in the same room with my laptop...
Hello guys, I tried many times to use the 'fastboot oem unlock' with adb but for some reason it does not work.

Hello I am new here I just wanted to get some advice before purchasing any more parts:
I cracked the front lens on my n7 2012 and decided to replace it myself. I successfully removed the glass but upon testing the LCD was showing really weird lines and sometimes showing picture. I fiddled with...
flashed this the other day. My 1st taste of lollipop and I like it.
The kernel is pretty crap (laggy) though (aparently CM's problem) so i just flashed Broken Kernel this morning and it's smooth as you like now (O/C'able to 1.6ghz but I'm happy with it at 1.4).
If anyone wants me to upload rom...
I have an unlocked and Rooted Nexus. My PC would not recognise my Nexus after I updated it to 4.2.2 so i thought I'd flash it back to Jellybean using Rom Manager. Now when I power the Nexus up it loads the Google screen but then goes black, it is still powered up as you can see a faint...
I have a nexus 7 2012 with 8.1 WiFi with unlocked and rooted i receive the 5.0.2 update and now i am stuck in boot to recovery with no command display and i tried to used nexus root toolkit but it stated no adb/fast boot drivers install and every time connect the to the computer it does not...
Hi, I have a Nexus 7 2012. Lollipop 5.0 rendered it unusable. I managed to flash it back to 4.4.4 Kitkat with a lot of google and youtube. It works again, which was well worth losing 226 levels of candycrush to a corrupted backup. However, this week I got the OTA notification for the 5.0.2...
After months of waiting I finally got the notification I could download the 5.0.2 update. I am able to verify and download the update, but when I choose restart and install I get an error message(open chest Android with exclaimation mark in red triangle). I have tried wiping the cache, factory...
Hi there, new here and in need of help
My Nexus 7 wifi 2012 model updated to lollipop. I tired to go back by using wugfresh's tool and no luck. I then tried another method that managed to wreck everything. Now when I turn it on I get a boot failed message and nothing more. Is it bricked or...
Is there a way to disable the initial screen that appears before the PIN unlock screen shows? This is a new screen and I would like to get rid of it.
My Nexus 7 is not rooted.
Thank you in advance...
Took several months of debugging, testing, needlessly factory resetting and dropping/adding google account. But its now finally running without frustration again. I'm on 5.0.2 but that has next to nothing to do with my unlagging since I achieved this shortly after 5.0. I don't know why my...
Hi to all of you with speed lag issues. This worked for me.
1.swipe all apps off the desktop.
2.drag back installed apps to desktop.
You should notice a marked speed difference. Good luck. Try with one app first and see if its faster.

Hello all,
Normally I would be able to fix this myself.
I have a Asus Nexus 7 (2012). It is rooted with CWM. I always had "system update" notification. Finally clicked on it. after it did it's thing, it went to what looked like the bootload screen (Android on his back), and ask to fix root...
My Nexus 7 (2012) has been a nightmare since lollipop update...oh how I wish I had stuck with KitKat. My tablet froze for the umpteenth time. I switched it off as I have done in the past. Now I only have the coloured balls dancing around. Have tried many options but the only one that has...
And my Nexus 7 appears to be back! Did factory reset after just to be careful. Running very well again after becoming basically unusable with initial lollipop update. Anyone else got it?
Hi All:
I have a Nexus 7 (not sure if 2012 or 2013) caught in a boot loop.
It all started when I began to get the 'process android.process.media has stopped' message. I went onto the forums and they recommended that I clear the Media Cache. The only thing was that when I went to settings >...
Hello,
I am encountering what seems to be a common problem for Nexus 7 (2012) users where my tablet reboots at random. It then sticks on the reboot screen and I have to enter recovery mode, power down and boot up again manually.
I have wiped the cache twice to no effect, and subsequently...
I flashed the "l" factory image for my 2012 nexus 7 last night & have had a day to play with it beside the nexus 9. Doing mostly web browsing they both have advantages. The Nexus 7 has an awesome battery life (still after 2 yrs) but the n7 is a little slow loading some heavy pages...
Guys if you're willing to use the Nexus root toolkit you can flash the factory image for the nexus 7 2012 WiFi right now. If you're not rooted you'll have to unlock your device first. Unlocking your device will whipe everything so make backups. I was running 4.4.4 once I installed my new...
Okay I have a N7 with a cracked screen.
I rooted before 4.4 but the system is now 4.4
I tried using a Y split OTG cable but it didnt work.
I already has a unlock bootloader.
Is there a way to root and install CM??
So I am looking into installing an ART compatible rom for my nexus 7, but I wonder will the performance be worth the hassle of apps and games not running. Any info would be nice, I know before lollipop it was definitely not worth it.
