Root 06 mountdl script

Long shot - could you check ownership and permissions of /cache/download and /data/local/download? Root explorer can do it - long press and select properties. Should be owner system, group cache, permissions rwxrwx--x.

Last time I put an ex at the end of a sentence I was writing to my girlfriend, Oh god its a weekend too. ;)

They are both rwxrwx--x.

I have installed CM7 skinny on Alpharev CM7 table and autodetect has now kicked in and seems to be installing everything correctly. So it must be something I'm doing with the custom table.

@InfernalByte,
Are you flashing DT over the CM7? If yes, I think DT is the cause of the problem blocking 06mountdl script.

Ah OK. It seems there were things GV was blocking and I blamed DT for that.

@InfernalByte,
If you got the script working with the Alpharev table, are you also using a2sd+?
I'd suggest to use the S2E for CM7, which can individually move apps, Dalvik, AND the Download cache to /sd-ext/download location.

I don't understan, but the point is others have it working out of the box. Why doesn't mine?

Am I doing anything wrong?: Wipe data/factory reset---wipe cache----flash recovery----format system,data,cache----reboot recovery----flash rom----flash gapps----flash boot----reboot system.

As soon as Cyanogen write a rom for the Desire S I'll be givin this ol faithful to my sister. I notice there's already a separate forum for it, probaly a bad idea.

If you are jumping, why make just one step? Do 2 steps and get a dual-core...

I just like the look of the S, I'm happy with my Desire but I might as well get a free phone. I suppose I should research things a little more thoroughly than looking at mere aesthetics.

Nice thinkin', I'm going to take a Nandroid of the fully installed Skinny, install the custom boot and then restore, and see what shakes.

Doesn't the "CM7 skinny" fit in AlphaRev Oxygen r2?
Saves 45MB extra space.
It just about fits in the old Oxygen table, but you have to be careful when that tight on space: I flashed a UOT theme and overflowed /system :o

Quite comfortable in Oxygen r2.

Yes, we need to keep an eye on the free space in /system.
Recently, Google has made a secret push of Books application on my phone, which has claimed a few MBs. I believe Rasta had an issue on his phone because of this: it wouldn't boot up as the free space was taken from his custom MTD.

By the way, they have removed the CM7 r1 and Oxygen r1 tables. Perhaps, we should have them in Dropbox Index. Those early versions were pretty hardcore with a low system space...

After a lot of pa lava including Titanium refusing to accept root privileges the Oxygen r2 table works, but I still ave no idea why the custom mtd wouldn' do its thing.

Did you.follow.the.process to the letter? Including all format, patch recovery, reboot recovery, format again, nandroid and patch boot?
