Accessories 1500mAH which Fake or Real?

What are your thoughts on the battery? Have you gotten it yet? are there any gaps when you put the case on? Thanks! :)

I had the same battery in my cart waiting for it to be back in stock and very shortly after MasterMind posted that he bought it the listing was changed to "Not Available at this time" and then when it popped back up days later it was $79.99.... so I bought something else. Be interested to know if he ever got it?

Sent my seidio back today and I have one more to send back next week. My friends are all doing the same and getting the htc 1500. Seidio is junk

$79.99?!? Yikes! I have noticed that people are selling these same batteries (any OEM HTC) and if it has Evo 4G or Incredible in the description it is $30.00 more!...
I am just hoping to find one that doesn't give me a gap. Can anyone confirm if all give a gap or if it's only certain batteries, of the OEM HTC onces like from billallies on Ebay or Amazon. Thanks

First of all I am lazy, so I will paste a PM I sent somebody yesterday regarding my purchase of the bidallies 1500mAh battery so I don't have to type it again...

Yes and no. I had read it was going to be tighter but I had used a 1750 and it fit fine and with the stock 1300 I had a creaking issue with the back being a little loose.

First time I put it on there were several gaps. I remembered reading that when you put the back on you are supposed to start at the top and work down.

SO I pulled it off and began very methodically inching it on little by little starting at the top and working side by side down to the bottom. Its tight but it fits. That was yesterday, earlier today I looked at it and there was a tiny little hairline gap on the lower left side so I massaged it a little bit and it popped right back into place. Right now it is 100% perfect with no gaps anywhere.

I think if you planned on popping off the back to swap batteries everyday it would get a little annoying but I plan on leaving it on there long term. Overall I am very happy with my decision to send the Seidio back and get the TP2 battery.

That PM is a day old now. Today I have seen no gaps whatsoever and my device feels more solid than ever with no creaks...

Batteries do expand and contract a little while charging and such... so it could be worse or get better depending on how the battery handles it.

I noticed that the SEIDIO batteries are wrapped in a foil label, where the HTC batteries seem to be in a thin metal (like sheet metal almost)... Not sure how that all can come into play - but its yet another thing that can push the limits of how all these backs snap on and such.

cool, well I guess that explains it, maybe people are having bad gaps cause they don't go top to bottom, and also I've read a lot of people plan on swapping batteries out a lot so that can effect things, taking the back off and on a lot prob weakens the latches over time.
I am like you and plan to just switch it and leave it so I am thinking I should be fine. Thanks for all your help MasterB and no worries, I would have copy and pasted the PM also :D

No problem. And that is the bidallies TP2 1500mAh for $14.95 free shipping. Its a great deal, confirmed new, OEM 1500mAh

Ordered the TP2 1500 from bidallies last wednesday, had it on Friday. Today I am on my second full charge, charged it while off last evening, turned it on this mornign at 7:45, now at 10:18 I am at 50%. I am not a heavy user, but this is much better than the stock.

I had bought this 1500 mAh from Bid Allies. I've had for almost 2 weeks now and it's been OK. A little better than the stock but not what some others have been talking about. I still refuse to go with the 2600. I had it for 24 hrs but the footprint was just too large for me. Does anyone use an App Killer? I had one running but have been reading that it's not completely necessary. I will try running it again and see if it improves battery life. Is the Seidio 1750 out of the question?

I don't use task killers. My stock battery must be defective because I can see a huge real world use improvement from the 1500 over the stock battery.

PS You already have the Seidio 1750, just minus the Seidio logo ;)

Thanks Grand Master. I actually re-installed Advanced Task Killer and things have been a lot better. I'll have to test through the weekend and see how it goes, but this is what I was expecting from this battery so far. On Stand by all night and after moderate use the past 3 hours, I've only used 3 bars since late last night. I will update next week.

Got mine today from the same ebay guy. same exact size as my Seidio crap battery yet the back closes much more snug. Fits pefect. Charging with the phone off now

Can someone post a link for this ebay seller. I am needing a battery that will last longer. My kids keep playing games on my phone and wear it down. Thanks in advance.

This is the one I bought. Just remember playing games is still going to run it down faster than you would like. I've got a real Tower Raiders related problem :P

NEW OEM BATTERY HTC HERO IMAGIO SNAP TOUCH PRO2 TILT2 - eBay (item 170500602834 end time Jul-15-10 06:58:03 PDT)

i think possibly i am going a little battery nuts. i have the 2150, but then wanted to try the slimmer look of the original phone, so i got a 1500 off ebay. i'm not entirely sure this one is legit (ordered from austintexwireless on ebay), so then i ordered the dealextreme one (haven't received it yet). then i reconsidered, and after reading your posts, i ordered yet another 1500 from bidallies. so now i will be lousy with batteries, but at least i'll have one that is for sure oem. i'll let you know how my battery adventure turns out. :)

+1

Just ordered my 2nd bidallies 1500 battery. Really, really happy with the 1st one I got. Will keep the OEM for a spare-spare. :) For $15 or so, bidallies' battery can't be beat!

Hey everyone, I have noticed much improvement in my 1500 while using Advanced Task Killer. Is the Task Killer necessary? I have read that it can actually harm the phone with turning off processes that are needed to run. Any thoughts out there?

Usually not needed. Depends on what apps you run. People freak out when they see a process for an app they thought they closed. But thats the way Android is designed. Properly written apps won't be using any CPU. Android purposely keeps them around in memory to let you go back to them quickly without having to reload it.

Using a task killer usually just slows things down, and if the task killer monitors things for you, it is probably the battery hog itself.

So the consensus is that the NEW OEM BATTERY HTC HERO IMAGIO SNAP TOUCH PRO2 TILT2 - eBay (item 170500602834 end time Jul-15-10 06:58:03 PDT) from BidAllies is the way to go?

I'm very happy with my cheap Chinese knock-offs to be honest; and they gave me a partial refund, so for $5 I got the desktop charger and 2 1100mAh batteries that run about as long as the stock 1300mAh battery.

Can't beat that in my book.

Yeah, down at this price range it's truly hard to be terribly angry about any of the batteries. But still, $10-$15 for the HTC 1500mAH is the best value. If you can spring for the 2150mAH from VZW go for that. It's made my phone what I've wanted it to do all along.

Only need Froyo on it, at this point.

bidallies is the seller. Get it. I unplugged my phone at 8am and normally when I get home around 5 the battery is dead (with stock battery), today its at 60% with moderate usage with the 1500mah
