I ordered this a couple of days ago (not recieved it yet though) and thought some others might be interested... especially seeen as many people seem to having problems with fakes.

Lexar 16GB MicroSDHC Card - with Reader | Ebuyer.com

I'm hoping this will be legit seen as it's from ebuyer and seems a steal for a class 6 16Gb card.

(Link to manufacturers site where it confirms it's class 6 and has an RRP for $110!!

16 GB Lexar High-Speed microSDHC )

Very good price and you also get a 10-year limited warranty for microSDHC card

Let us know if it works OK.

Nice, I'll watch this thread.

Make sure to find the real capacity and test the transfer speeds.

Just to let you know that it will appear as something like 14.9GB of space because of how companies use 1GB = 1000MB instead of 1GB = 1024MB.

Just bagged one! - Exactly what I was thinking.. 720p hopefully on the way soonish... could do with the extra speed and capacity ;)

32Gb would be nice but expensive and only C2 at the mo....

Dammit only just bought one a couple of days ago.Doesn't bother me to much though as I'm getting class 6 speeds from my class 2,so not all bad.

Good find I just ordered one.

My patience is done, when this card arrives it's time to root it and start playing around a bit.

Does rooting remove network\SIM locking ?

Can someone explain to me a bit about SD cards? What's Class 6? How does it compare to Class 2? What's the best speed / card available and how does this one compare?

Ideally I'd like 32Gb, I had 16Gb in my iPhone and it wasn't really enough for me. But 32Gb cards seem really expensive, and did someone say you can only get class 2 cards in that size?

This subject really confuses me, I need someone who knows what they are talking about to say "Buy this...."

Class 2 is at least 2MB/s.
Class 4 is at least 4MB/s.
Class 6 is at least 6MB/s.

And so on...

Any idea when class 4 and 6 microSDHC cards will be available for purchase in 32GB ? I've only seen the 32GB Sandisk in a class 2.

Wow that's a great price.. not much more than most Class 2s :-D

Hopefully someone will do some tests with it and post the results ;-)

Thanks for the help, I didn't know about the class referring to speeds. I've decided to get one of these cards as the 32GBs are only Class 2. I think speed is going to be more important with Apps on SD when Froyo finally arrives!

I don't expect it to arrive any time soon though as I opted for "Super saver" delivery, which means they use exactly the same delivery method as everyone else, but just sit on the order for 5 days!

I think you are doing the right thing - good deal on a 16GB. You are going to pay an arm & leg to get the 32gb cards because they are so new and I think just SanDisk sells. Hopefully more 32GB micro cards come out so the price starts to drop. I want to get all my music on my next Android phone.

Well I got mine on Friday, it works... don't know what else to say really :-) No idea how I can test speeds properly.
