1700 mAh Extended battery duo!!!

Strange thing is that it does seem to last quite a bit longer than the stock battery. I would say it lasts me about 10-12 hours with moderate usage. Would be interesting to see someone with the 2750 extended use this widget too.
 
Ya also I realized my stock abttery must have had a thermometer in it because the temperature always changed. When it started to get hot, battery would drain at an accelerated rate and I would usually pull the battery out and let it cool off for a few minutes. These 1700s don't have that feature because it stays at a consistent 25 celcius even thought it also gets quite hot at times.
 
Yeah I put both the stock battery in and a HongKong 1500mah and both read 1350 when I know for a fact the HK battery lasts about half as long as my stock battery
 
The description for this app states that the "mA data may be desynchronized and/or estimated".

I will hold off on this until someone with a 2750mAh battery gives it a shot. If those batteries read in the 2000's then I will buy the PRO version and test all 3 of my batteries.

I already did that a few posts above. The app says 2750 mAh. See also my comments about this.
 
I honestly dont think they are scam. every time I used to go to school with stock battery and I spend almost all my day in the basement doing homework and where I get very spotty signal and it drains battery like crazy.

with stock battery by the time I would get home I would have < 25% battery left and with the 1700mah battery I had 43% battery left. This battery definitely lasts longer then the stock battery no matter what the app says. I am not saying it is 100% 1700mah but it is certainly over 1400mah.

at this time I am at 22% battery, I am waiting for it to go below 20 so I can do a full cycle charge on it. lol

I think batter expectation are a little too high on these phones. We're talking about a phone with a very large and bright screen and a ton of features it's going to use power . I think the stock battery life of 8-15hrs is more then fair but since rooting I'm getting 20-30hrs before I even get below 20%

I am curious as to what options and or settings you invoked to get that much time from the battery. Surely, just rooting the phone did not provide you with that much more use; you had to have made some settings changes.

As someone else mentioned. the app has a setting for changing the mah. So it very well could be a setting the user has to adjust depending on the battery. i emailed the dev to ask about this..

So, as I suspected, the capacity information is not a measurement, just a setting. The app is just translating the percentage information from the phone. And we all know the percentage calibration is rather quirky, and tied into the protective circuitry so that it will sometimes say 100% even when it is less than that.

So here is my informal review of the HTC Express batteries. Normally, I would have to plug in my phone all day at work, escpecially if I am going out that night and will not have access to an outlit. My old battery would last maybe 4 hours with my typical use. Typical use is 3 - 4 call, 10 minutes or so each hour surfing, a few texts, and maybe a words with friends game or two. I've also switched to wifi on when available.

I charged the new battery overnight, and put it into my phone when I got in this morning. (Yes, I know, batteries tend to needs a few full charges before they settle in). It currently has an Up time of 7:05 and an awake time of 1:13. That is a world of difference from the old battery.

Again, just an informal report, but so far, I am pleased.
 
After having this battery for almost a week, I think I can provide some feedback.

Ordered it Sunday 4/10 and it was mailed out the next day (Monday). Living in NYC and having the shipper live in SF i thought for sure it would take the whole week but it came Wednesday. Charged the batteries using the wall charger and took it for a spin the next few days. I can say without a doubt that these batteries work.

I was getting 6-8 hours before on moderate use and would without a doubt have to charge them at work. I am always on 4g because i still refuse to switch to 3g when I've bought a 4G phone for that exact reason. I chat on liveprofile all day which is known to be a battery hog, email, browse the net, make a few phone calls and listen to music. These batteries last me 10-12 hours with the same usage. It's a noticeable difference how much longer they last being that they are supposed to be a 20% increase in capacity. It is, however, just a TAD too small to last the whole day. If they could make it even 1900, like the atrix, my god this phone would be perfect. It would last the whole day and all would be right in the world. 2000 mah should be the standard on these new 4g phones, 1800 absolute minimum. Honestly I could give a shit what new powerful phones cellphone carriers come out with, their first priority should be fixing the battery life.
