1900mAh Batteries?

Depends on your needs.

I only need them once in a great while when on a long job (once every few months), and since I carry a bag for work, I just stick a spare in there. It's nicer for me than carrying an extra thick phone all of the time or carrying a charger.

I guess so but the phone isnt that extra thick its just a hump and a little heavier no biggie in my book. I thought it would be huge or to heavy or i wouldnt have a case but my thoughts changed. Its nice to actually be able to use my phone and not worry about conserving battery life or need to carry extras. But i guess ppl have there choices i found mine and am happy with it.
 
I went ahead a jumped for the Anker 1900mAh battery. I'll have it sometime next week... hopefully. My stock battery just doesn't cut it anymore.
 
Yeah, I been using my Anker for a few days now and it's a tad better than the stock battery. I just wanted an extra for my trip at the end of month and I didn't need a monster sized battery/case that has super battery life...

I just put up a post about this, but some apps on this phone (probably 4.0 in general) prevent deep sleep when not using the phone and easily cause it to use 3-4 times more power when not in use.

With a proper deep sleep when not in use you should only be using between 1-3% an hour, apps with wake lock cause it to be more like 7-10%.

Check your details battery stats under the "Awake" section... if there are tons of tiny spots (showing it is waking) when you aren't using it then you have an app killing your battery.

That would explain a lot.. I should have known this coming from the Triumph. Is there anyway to pinpoint the app(s) causing the wake lock?

Some people recommended BetterBatteryStats. It is a paid app but you can get it from xda...

Bottom of second post. Just copy to your sd card then tap on it to install, you need to turn on the option to install from unknown sources though.

When you go into it you can have it show partial wakelocks, but you may want to go into preferences and change the "% of wakelock time" to % of time awake without screen on (this shows what is waking it when you aren't using it).

I also found that some 4G toggle widgets, including power/toggle bars, cause it to try to update the status of 4G every few minutes and it soft wakes the phone each time. I reinstalled Elixir 2 toggle bar last night but removed 4G toggles and it shows it was clean all night on soft wakes.
 
I now have a 1900mAh Anker battery. I am currently letting my stock battery drop to about 25% before I put it into storage. I'll post back on my first thoughts after the first two charge/discharge cycles.
 
I ordered the 1900 anker from amazon and it seems worse than the stock battery to me. I cycled it a few times, but if I dont see improvements soon I'm probably just going to go back to the stock one and use the anker as a backup.
 
I want to buy a battery but I don't feel safe about buying Aftermarket battery's due to the fact they tend to catch on fire. Thinking of buying a Anker because it looks like the safest bet to go with. Any tips on battery buying?

Chinese batteries are fine for emergencies, and might last a year.
I have two of them bought at the same time, they are worth lass than what you pay for them.

I also have two Ankers, I bought one, liked it enough to buy a second when I changed phones.They blow away the Chinese batteries and are well made.
 
Alright. So I have 1 charge cycle down. I must say that it was worth every penny...

So how many more hours do you guys get with the Anker 1900 battery compared to the stock battery? I don't want to buy a new battery that only gets a hour boost over stock battery.

Austrie, if you're looking for more than an hour of improvement in battery life over the stock battery, I believe that you may want to be looking into the larger extended batteries (3000+mAh), that require a new bulging back cover.

I purchased the Anker 1900mAh batteries and charger to have the ability to swap a battery half way through the day when in heavy use, or to be able to use the phone for 2 or 3 days without charging, yet not have the additional bulk sticking out of the back of the phone when I just didn't need it. At the time, I wasn't able to find a stock HTC battery for sale for a reasonable price, wall charger included.
 
I want a battery that fits in my phone like a normal battery would; so that requirement removes extended batteries from my options. I wanted to know how much longer do the anker 1900 battery life compared to the stock battery. Based on that I'll see if it's worth it; though 2/3 days sound good.
 
Still waiting on it to die on me again. I'm loving the fact I can go a full 24 hours on the battery (with my semi light usage) without a problem. It does EXTREMELY well while in standby. Which is going to be awesome when school starts. :D

Once the kernel source comes out, we will have several kick-ass kernels to choose from, hopefully with SmartassV2 for a governor (the best one IMHO..) which will just increase the battery life even more.

So... even with one charge cycle down, I'd consider this a MUST have. If you don't mind the huge battery that has double the capacity, that's the way to go. Otherwise, if you want a some extra juice outta your stock casing, or you must have the Otterbox, then this is the way to go. For less than 20 bucks for one, or 2 w/ a charger for 30, I'd say it is worth every penny.

Having had the Anker 1900 mAh battery for the HTC Sensation and Anker 2200 mAh for the T-Mobile Galaxy S 2 , I can openly say they are worth every penny and a definite must-have battery. You actually do get the extra life they advertise, and no bulge on the back on your phone that looks like it has a bad case of hemorrhoids .

I've got my Evo V in an Otterbox Defender, definitely going to pick up an Anker for it!
 
It won't transform the talk time of the phone into an Iphone, but they make a difference and every bit helps.

The problem asking for "how many many hours" is that usage patterns differ and can change daily. However, there is a difference. On some days, it's very obvious, on others not so much, but it is there.

As for worth it, I very much think so. This is my second and I plan on a third for my mom's phone once they release one for the Elite.
 
Just got my battery in, everything looks great about it besides the charger...it looks and feels cheap. Other than that I order a laptop battery from them also, It came in a nice fancy box shows how professional they are. :)
 
The charger looks and feels cheap and in actuality it is, but...
It can charge pretty much any cell phone battery, you can't hook it up wrong, and it can be used in a variety of ways, so it's not quite as cheap as one might think.

So while others charge you a bunch more for a charger, you get less.
 
I too bought the anker 1900 and am really liking it. Anybody else notice that the battery temp does not display correctly for battery widgets using this battery. Not a huge deal but just curious.
