Root 2.1 rom here

I have a quick question for anyone else running the cyanogen 5, is it connecting to your computer? Every time I plug it in and it just charges.
 
ok, that fixed it, i tried that a while back when i first used this rom and it didnt work. thats what make me switch back to super d.
 
I just noticed something I lost that worked even on 1.5 Rooted MyT3G..


when I have headphones in I can't answer the phone. I mean I can pick up and answer they can't hear me..even after unchecking muted. I am using the stock music player.

Anybody know why?
 
thats odd, ive never had any problems like that, and I have mine set up to play through my radio in my car (YAY PANDORA!!) so I dunno what to tell ya on that one

Unless you've got the mute button selected on your headphones, that's definitely a bug. What rom are you running?
 
Speaking of 2.1 roms, i just found out that Super E was finally released, doing the final setups on it, but so far it seems really quick, time will tell if it is faster than cyan, but heres to hoping!
 
What is the last version of this rom? I will put it again I hope that we have final version? Also is there any now Super D rom? I'm still on 1.10.3
 
SUper D is up to 1.11, but I didnt care for it too much, seemed to be a bit of a battery hog on my phone. As for Super E, I have been running it for a few days now and its in my opinion faster than the Cyanogen 2.1 rom.
 
It's better. What a rom. It's fast as a 1.6. no force close on nothing, working perfect. I just saw that my CPU freq is 576 not 528 as before.
 
Call me stupid but can somebody explain in a step by step guide how to flash over to 2.1 and what needs to be done?

And this can be done on the MyTouch Slide right?
 
You need to be rooted to flash a rom. And I'm not really sure about roms on the Slide.. A few days ago the Slide got rooted so there probably aren't a bunch of roms out for it yet. But it's running 2.1 anyways so yeah.

Why the heck would you want to root that phone. You are going to get 2.2 some time soon so why bother. 2.2 will only make your phone faster. Then if it sucks root.
