im trying really hard not to play with the phone and treat this as a normal day so i can try and look at how the battery compares...ill let you know..

im also wondering...do you use the phone at work? i know you say you keep it in airplane mode, but do you listen to music or anything else?...

if you don't use it and it sits in your pocket all day, the phone does have a "sleep" mode now. Might be interesting to see how the battery goes by putting the phone to sleep while you're at work..

Two things...

- Where are the new SIP settings?

- How do we use the new Gingerbread copy/paste feature?

I didn't play too much with the copy/paste but if you launch the stock browser, you can long-press anywhere and get the copy/paste handles. Don't know if it's universal, it doesn't work in my other browsers.

unfortunately the way i was able to get back was to uninstall my other launchers...GB doesn't seem to play nicely with home switcher apps right now...

Edit: Off topic, but EC the basic Blur framework of this build is damn near PERFECT as a base for your Honeybread theme with all of the Blue colors and such...hopefully once this thing gets rooted and the devs get messing around we can get some Honey for our Ginger...
that is what I had to do because even when I was able to use the blur home it would never stick and would always ask what home to use if I pressed the home key

yeah I noticed that too. I'm waiting until she gets rooted/deodexed and will probably be getting right to work on it lol

that's an option in Dolphin Browser, too..on .340.

It's an option on several browsers... I'm specifically referring to the new copy/paste function that was added in Gingerbread which allows a universal mechanism for copy/paste. I don't know if it needs to be implemented per-app but it's supposed to be a system wide copy/paste function.

The selection handles look like little houses.

My "sync" icon is still up. Loaded this last night and its still there. Just annoying. Doesn't seem to be effecting the battery or anything.

I found out I can fix the "sync" thing by doing a factory reset in recovery. I just don't feel like setting up all my apps again (since no TIBU) so I think I'll just live with it.

just noticed an issue...

if you have Spare Parts installed, and try to get to the "Battery History" it will FC....

can anyone confirm??

Confirmed.

do you happen to remember the "dialer code" for accessing Battery History?

edit: nevermind, remembered it...for an FYI it seems Battery History is not there either...that would be why Spare Parts crashes...wonder why its gone?

Gingerbread has a new battery history app, I'm guessing they just revamped the battery framework in the OS and it doesn't have that little history call anymore.

This release should be considered beta, so that may be why......or maybe it was removed because Moto didn't want it there anymore, who knows.

Well, we know there are going to be some bugs, so I thought it might be a good idea to post them here so that we have one place to look for them, and their fixes.

I've noticed that my time in the notification bar isn't updating properly, but the lock screen clock updates fine.

If I put it to sleep (not the new sleep mode), it updates the notification bar, but I've had at least one instance where the notification bar didn't update for about half an hour.

I actually looked for one before I started this one... I didn't see it. I apologize, and thank you for posting the link.
