2.3.340 Findings/Fixes....

Dude, it's embarrassing how many times I've tried that. I have no idea why it won't work. It's not that I think it's an important feature, just bugs me that it's not there.

I never had the 'similar' tab in my market until today. This afternoon I was having problems with my 3g connection (wasn't aware of the nation wide crash), so in an effort to clean things up in my phone I went into clockwork, cleared my cache/formatted partition, then did a battery pull, and when I started my phone back up I happened to go into the market and saw that 'similar' tab I'd heard everyone talking about.

Now my phone hasn't been pushed the update yet, but it's pretty inevitable that we'll have the usual flood of people jumping on here exclaiming, "my phone was perfect until this stupid update, now they've ruined my damn phone" that we ALWAYS get after one of these updates goes through. So to head them off at the pass, is there going to be a way to go back to 2.3.15 once you've accepted the update, or is this going to be sort of like froyo where once you've taken the plunge there's no going back?

Not that I'm planning on wanting to do so, just curious.

There's no going back. It modifies the bootloader signatures, again.

Still getting the "You cannot upload a video larger than 1 GB." error when trying to upload a file to YouTube through the moto gallery app. File is 134mb and I've been getting this error since 2.1

:(

I still have dual lock screens

Thanks for posting this, I am super disappointed that the slider lock is still required. I'm using Widget locker, so if I want my phone to be password protected I would still have 3 lock screen. Swipe to the side, Swipe to the Side Again, Then unlock using code/grid etc...

I have no hard data to back this statement up at all, but the over all responsiveness of my device seems much improved. In a word, 'smoother'.

Also, it seems more stable. I was getting regular random reboots before, and I haven't had any since I updated. Mind you it's only been about 12 hours, but I've been intentionally pushing it past its comfort zone by doing things like downloading a song off MusicJunk, while listening to a song off MixZing and flinging my fine feathered friends around on AngryBirds.

So far, it's taken it all in stride.

Did they add back in the little droid dude pictures/smilies/emoticons to stock texting/messaging app?

If anyone had the slide lock screen activated before the update, are you now able to deactivate after the update? Or is it still a bug?

I lost my gallery. For whatever reason when I try to load it, it just blinks back to the homescreen. The pics are there, gallery wont load tho. Other then that I like it. Keyboard seems better to me. Whole thing feels smoother.

I had this and saw someone else too. There's a corrupted picture or video that you need to find and delete.

Maybe they made gallery more sensitive to corrupt files.

in addition to clearing the data+cache for the market app, i had to uninstall the "market updater" app. you can find it on the "all" tab in the applications app. first time i started the market after that, there was the EULA and a bit of a delay, then i had the similar tab.

If i delete the market updater how will i get it back? Will the market still automatically update?
