Root 2.3 Update Boot looping using TBH SBF

I just SBFed the THB "VRZ_MB810_2.3.32_1FF_01.sbf"
"TeamBlackHat Full 2.3.32 SBF {Monster File}"

Now I get stuck in a motorola boot loop (the eye appears, then it keeps restarting the boot animation) and the phone never boots up.

What did I do wrong and how can I fix this?

My Bootloader still shows 30.03? Shouldn't this be 30.04?

sbf doesn't change bootloader. Pull battery out, get into stock recovery and wipe data/cashe

If you want to upgrade your bootloader to 30.04, then you have to install the update.zip from TBH app and follow the directions carefully. That's what I did and it worked fine for me.

What were you running before you tryed to .sbf? Did you do the update.zip first to update your bl. The sbf will work for bl ver. .03 & .04.

I got into the default bootloader and wiped data / factory reset. Then the phone was able to boot. Did not expect to have to do that after an SBF...

I did not realize the SBF does not change the bootloader. Any advantage to updating my bootloader (new radio? anything?)?

Since I'm still at 30.03, I can SBF back to 2.2.1 correct? Or Can I simply load a nandroid backup over what I have now? I'm tempted to try because titanium backup failed to backup all of my recent applications for some reason, but backed up all of the ones I have had for a while. So I lost a ton of data none the less.

So My plan is to Nandroid Back to Fission 2.2 -> Re-Run Titanium backup, then nandroid back to fission 2.3. Is this even possible or do I need to SBF back to 2.2.1 first?

My Gmail seems to be broken, anyone know where the apk is located?

I dont think you can go back, almost positive because they change the bootloader or the keys? There is a giant thread at mydroidworld where you can get a straight answer. Just read theough its been answered and disscussed.. I just dont remember.

The SBF does change the bootloader. It does not change the bootloader version but it most definitely updates the keys.

My Bootloader did not change, so I don't think the key could have changed?
Oh and the email thing is the result of something else I changed...Damn new version of beyond compare is really throwing me off.

Just a note...your phone always loops at the Droid eye after an sbf. You have to pull the battery and STOCK recover and wipe data/cache. If you don't clear the data/cache it seems to jumble things up a bit.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but Steven58 and myself had already given you some useful information on how to go about updating your bootloader to 30.04 in this thread starting at post #20:

http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...n-2-2-2-running-so-good-i-wont-do-update.html

I'm not sure why you chose to ignore it.

Yea I see that, I saw just trying to figure out what the point in updating the bootloader to 30.04 is at this time. Especially if I am already running Fission 2.3.1 and Just about to port over faber's theme.

I'm not sure what the point is either, other than to be on the latest bootloader version. Maybe Steven58 knows. I did it for precautionary reasons, in case applying the sbf from tbh to get to 2.3.340 requires it.

What theme are you thinking about porting over by the way?

Just need to get some info, and I should be able to wrap it up in an hour or so.

Actually it installs over fission 2.3.1 fine (at least I haven't had any problems except gmail - just get new version from the market), but then your replacing a few parts of the system that were changed going from 2.2.2 to 2.3.1 so I'm going to migrate it over properly.

Oh cool, I am thinking about doing the black white and chrome theme.....I haven't had time to do it though, I'm re-installing xp on my little sis's computer and doing laundry right now :D....I'm a little bit under the weather too, so I am not feeling very motivated at the moment.
