I'm sorry for asking so many questions but once I wipe my dalvik cache from my phone and also install the new kernel do i have to compile it to make it overclock? If you're cpu can handle 768 then use that one otherwise, use the 691. Here ya go -- http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=756774
AlrightNo. All you need to do is flash the zip from recovery and you will be up and running. The kernel is already set to the speeds shown. The only thing you might want to do is get an app like setcpu or something to make a cpu profile if you desire.
Thank you so much! for all the help you have been giving me lately.Ok just got the kernel flashed and stuff and everything is all good and it says 691 MHz on setcpu but when i do a quadrant test i get a score of 233 or something around there and i don't think thats right lol.
Ok im srry for asking this but how do i post pictures to the forum i took 3 pictures of my specs and such on my phone using the shoot me app but i just dont know how to upload them lolYour Quadrant score can be heavily affected by ongoing background processes or other apps multitasking as you run the benchmark. I would reboot your handset and then run the Quadrant benchmark.
Also, set the SetCPU widget to Performance mode. If you have it on On Demand it will yield a lower score because it has to react to the change in CPU demand before upping the MHz dynamically.
