Accessories 2000mah Andida battery

My battery just arrived this afternoon - 16 days from Hong Kong to Florida. I always like how things come from Hong Kong with "gift" checked on the customs label. They are a very giving people.

it probably saves them on some type of taxes lol

it only took me 12 days to get mine. IM not sure why but it came pretty quick. I live in southern california, not sure if it has any affect on shipping time:confused:

Funny. The day I post this I get it in the mail. I just arrived today, so I guess with some people it may take up to a month to get the battery.

so after doing about 5 charge cycles, the battery is not working for me, in fact its worse than my stock! Im gonna go with the Mugen Power battery or maybe even seidio. I took a gamble for 10$ and thats fine its a good backup battery but i cant use it as a replacement because it dies way to fast! i mean im leaving a 8 hour shift with pretty moderate use and my phone is blinking on my way home! with the stock im leaving work with between 40-50% left so its not gonna fly with me! But like i said 10$ isnt to bad and plus now i just carry it with me as a backup in case i need it!

Currently at 14 hrs since unplugged and have 50% battery left. so far so good still with mine since I got mine on the 16th

can somebody tell me how big the package was exacy? I can't seem to tell my the photo. Mine should be waiting for me at home (ive been out of town) and I would like to know if I would have to make a trip to the post office or if it would be inside my mailbox. Thanks

I think it comes in about a 5"x7" package. It was a smaller than I expected so it should fit in your mailbox.

First day got about 14 hours out of it, sent probably 100 texts and browsed the internet for an hour. Also had bad reception (was in a bowling alley for 7 hours) so that must have hurt it. Did another 12 hour charge last night and gonna see how long it lasts today/tomorrow.

I just got back in town. While away (for five days) I used the phone and battery a ton. I was running bus maps and times. Lot of GPS walking directions. Looking up restaurants, etc. I had terrible service for some of the time (driving down the coast).

I have been very impressed with the battery life. This battery definitely lasts longer then the stock. I have been able to get a lot more usable time out of the phone. This includes playing a ton of games (gem miner and other high resource games).

I really think this is a an amazing purchase for $10. For anyone who has been questioning the 'worth' of the the Hero due to battery life, I would consider this battery as the answer.

Well after a week with this battery and solid testing - it is a little better then the stock one for me (maybe another hour or so). This fits with those that dont have the wake lock issue that I have. No matter what I do I cannot seem to get the phone to sleep. Oh well, I just ordered a desktop charger with an extra battery chargeing place so now I will be able to go 16 to 18 hours between the two.

I will say that this battery is worth the $10 price tag :D

Curious, does this mean that Touch Pro 2 batteries are identical to the Sprint Hero's? Or just this particular battery due to its design?

They are exactly the same as far as physical size go. The only difference is the TP2 battery is 2000 mAh, and the Hero battery is 1500 mAh.

Took it off around 3pm (got home at around 3am so went for the full 12 hours). I left it on all day yesterday, then all today until I got it down to 6% and plugged it in around 9pm. I'll be taking it off the charge around 8:30 am, not quite the full 12 hours recommended but close enough. The fact that it lasted about 32 hours is pretty good in my book, although I didn't make too many calls I did do a decent bit of texting.

It also lost about 15% overnight (8 hours)

hi,

Here is my theory / observations...

I THINK this battery discharges a little fast at all times. I compare it to car engines...

-V8 vs V6 engine
-V8 = 2000 battery
-V6 = 1500 battery stock
-cruising on highway = stand by
-acceleration /towing = on phone calling or text or internet, etc..

I have noticed when I am trying to kill the 2000 it give good performance. But on normal use, it seams to not last as long as I would expect.

the V8 will drain faster than V6 when cruising on the highway. But when in the V8 will perform better, if you need power more often: like towing things. The V6 works harder under heavy use.

so...
if you are a heavy user the 2000 mah will give you more hours of use. If you put the 1500 under heavy use, it will not give u as many hours as the 2000.
if you are a light user the stock 1500 mah can give you more stand by time; therefor give u a few more hours between charges.
If you are somewhere in between user.... then they will both give you un-even results.

Disclaimer: this based on my experience and on what i have read from some other's experiences. I am NO expert on these things, so I can be totally wrong! This is just my attempt to explain the BIG differences we all have seen from different users. Where the extra charge is going in stand-by by the 2000 mah battery, I dont know...

^^This is my experience with the battery as well. When I try to kill it, it takes forever, but in standby mode it drains just as quickly as my stock. Thanks for the post. It makes sense.

Wise words grasshopper.

Actually, going with this analogy, for $10 purchasing and using the battery only benefits everyone. For a casual user, who decides to heavily use their hero an a given day can be assured that their battery wont run out of juice too quickly. win win win

Interesting analogy, don't know if I would have described it quite the same.

For $10, it's a good battery, it is not as good as my 1750mAh SEIDIO battery, but it's a good add to the collection. With 3 batteries and an external charger, I now have enough power to get me through a busy workday without having to plug in once.

Why do you say it is not as good as the Seidio battery? The Seidio battery has 16% more power than the stock battery, while the Andida has 30% more power.
