Does *228 still work when rooted? I tried it twice and it wouldnt work. I'm wondering if it's a rooted thing?

The only time it won't work is with bad reception with or without root.

Yep, and if the OP is using a Network Extender, then the *228 also won't work because the extender only works for 1X voice and the programming is data. I have to turn off my NE to do *228 programming.

Thnx. when i tried it i had 3bars of 3g but i just tried it again and it worked. Just a little quirky i guess. Thnx for the help tho

*228 works for me with root, non-root, and Apex
