Root 3.4.2 flashable zip Question

Use buzz social in the market.. as soon as I added my account it gave me the option to sync with existing contacts..
 
Anyone having an issue with wifi stop transfering data after a few minutes?? You have to disconnect and reconnect to fix it. Then it happens again. Anyone?

No issues here, I use dropbox on wireless at home a ton and have not had this happen.
 
Well wifi stops after a while, leading me to turn it off and on again... sucks.. my other issues is just random freezing.. could be my theme.. not sure.

Well at least the bootloader will be unlocked now. Can't wait for CM7 and custom kernels..
 
Any other gingerbread theme for this? By someone else? I'm beginning to think the one I flash has made things unstable.. anyone can confirm the same?

BTW has anyone has a nothrotle.zip for this build. I noticed yesterday while streaming Netflix, that my DL numbers were way lower then what I use to have running other ROMs.

hold up..you said Netflix? on what? your pc right? :D ..

if you having speed issues, try a reboot or put the phone somewhere else where you can get an lower dBm signal(under status in the settings) ..

I wish I could stream directly on my phone. I mean on the PS3/Laptop, I keep getting lower then normal speeds. I used just over 6gigs of data and im only 10 days into this new bill cycle. lol Before on Liberty/Apex I would get DL speeds of .9-1.2 mb and now it seems that it gets throtled down to .6 mb.

Thats why I was wondering if there was a zip file for the nothrotle on this build that I could use.

You can take the services.jar from BWC theme for this build, I removed the data throttle. The only thing is the date, clock, etc. in status bar will be gray instead of white.....you can modify the services.jar to change the color back to white if that's what you want.

It's ok don't worry about it. Once you get more into this rooting/modding/themeing stuff you will get it more easily.

Anyway, I found this one on another forum that Snow02 made, it should work for you just fine with no modding necessary.

In bootstrap mount system and apply like a regular zip file.

So I have seen that Liberty is suppose to have an update out by Friday of this week. So since that will be the newest and greatest I am going to want to jump over to that. What will be the easiest way to get back??

Do I need to SBF back to .340 and then reload my Liberty back-up? Or can I do a factory reset on 3.4.2 and then just load my Liberty back-up? I know the worst that would happen is that I would have to do an SBF if something went wrong, but figured I would just ask first.

Yep did this and it work flawlessly. So until Friday I went ahead and put Fission on my phone because I had not tried it since it was first being developed. This is a very nice ROM as well. Hopefully with the newer phones coming out a few of these developers will stick around and keep improving what they have been giving us.
 
Hopefully I didn't screw up my X. I did the 3.4.2 update, then tried to do a .zip install of swype that I had from fission. On restart, just stuck at the M screen. So I yanked the battery, put back in and it came to the bootstrapper menu. Since I could get in there, I was worried I had messed it up so I went ahead and went back to stock. Well now, pulls up the M and then goes to a screen similar to the one if you hold down the camera button, volume down and power. Says something about bootloader error. Very annoying that's for sure. Gotta wait until I get home to see if I can sbf back to stock now. Any other suggestions?
