Most are using the 3000mah batteries. Contact the seller and see if he will replace it. Tell him thee door doesn't fit and the battery gets hot andsee if he will send you a new set

man... i'm pretty disappointed then... i was really looking forward to having the extended battery but with my fitment issues and it getting too hot. i don't know... i wanted to get it to play games longer when i'm out but if it's going to burn up just by web browsing, i don't even want to start using it for games.

which ebay buyers did you all buy from? i got mine from tuttoit. they're the 2700mah batteries, are you all using 3000mah batteries?
define hot? all the batteries get warmer the faster you discharge them ie long phone conversition movie or game, but theres a difference between hey ive been playing for an hour battery is really warm to the touch and ouch i think somthing is going to melt

hot to me is when it gets over 40C. once i left the camcorder recording for over an hour and i checked JuicePlotter and it showed it getting to 50C and when i touched the phone, it was scary... i thought my phone died burning :/

so when it gets to 44C with the extended battery, i'm concerned. the kickstand feels warm too, i flick it out so it'll act like a little heatsink lol.

Up time is the time the phone has been on since last reboot. Awake time is the time you have used it or something keeps it awake not allowing out to sleep. During normal usage they should not be the same. Something is keeping your phone awake and not letting it sleep

First just do a power cycle (turn off then back on) then run it fore a little while like normal and check the times. If they are the same then I would download system panel and get the payed version and turn monitoring on and that will track what apps use the most cpu usage

i monitored it with the payed version and cant seem to find where they track the apps.

Open the app and click on the circles at the top. Then click on history then at the to click on plot and select top apps and it will show you the top apps that use the cpu. Also in the settings you gotta activate monitoring

on my second charge. It fully charged about 9pm and hasn't been plugged in since. Woke up at 7am and went to class. haven't really done much on it just minor stuff like texts and quick browsing and im down to about 40% What am i doing wrong with this 3000mah batter? Is it because it's only the second charger? Is it because I charge in my phone? In regards to wiping battery stats thats only needed if your charging inside the phone correct? No needed if planning to charge with external charger?

I only charged mine once while on my phone and even with 100% awake time, I'm getting pretty good results. Im at 60% and I've been using it pretty heavily. I'm actually not too concerned with why im having the wake time issue as long as my battery works this long. I bought two of them but I don't plan on taking this one out for fear of the otther battery being garbage.lol

can you explain what the wake time issue is and what's causing it?

Basically, it states that my phone has been on for x amount of time vs actually awake y amount of time. Mine is at 100% awake so it has been running even when i turn the screen off. But I havent found the culprit thats keeping it awake yet. Ill keep monitoring it

Install "Advanced Task killer" and read out your list.

Also, took my phone off charge at 5 pm yesterday with 13 1/2 hours uptime, 3 hours 31 minutes awake time and my phone is at 82% still.

That's almost identical to my stats only I'm at about 40%. I did. Use Google navigation for. About 20 min last night. I don't think I'm getting the best of this battery yet

any other suggestions? now im concerned

Well something is keeping your from some sleeping. Download and install "Juice Defender" It kills data when your screen is off. If it goes to sleep then, maybe you could narrow it down even more.

Or simply put your phone in airplane mode, then turn off and see if your up time/wake time are the same.
