currently i'm on 2.2, factory rooted rom with 928blkglass deodexed them installed. Which would be a better way for me to get to the official 2.2.1?
1. OTA
2. or just use RSD lite and throw this new SBF on?
thx in advance.
This SBF is a system only SBF for people on 2.3.320, just to get their system to .340. You would either need to get the OTA, or get the leaked update to 2.3.320 and then do this system SBF to get you to .340. I think there is away that you could use the 2.3.320 SBF that was also out and then do this SBF as well.

If you are on 2.3.15 stock or rooted you can just use the update zip on the droid-life website they put up earlier in the day.
I did it and works perfect. From stock 2.2 -> 2.2.1 easy.

even if i'm deodexed? Or should i have to restore back to my rooted stock 2.2 backup i made before i put my theme on?

so if you are deOdexed, you can straight download the update? i'm guessing i'll then have to reroot and deodex again? whats the best way to do this? i'm confussed...

Same here. Fully stock, I downloaded the update.zip, applied, then I ran z4root after and it's working great.
why would you have to call verizon to activate it?..if it was activated before you bricked it just dial *22899 or *228Thanks guys i had a bricked 2.2.340 now i have sbf ed the crap out of it and it is back to normal. At least i hope it is. I will find out in the morning when i call verizon to activate it. whoo hoo i am computer and phone stupid and you guys make it easy for me. Now its time to root it back and let the fun begin. Not scared to brick anymore.
yesOn the instructions at Droid Life it states if you have modified any bloatware you are out of luck. What does that mean? I am rooted and I removed some bloatware such as CityID, Blockbuster. Is that considered modified bloatware
if you are still on 2.3.15 and possibly have a backup you made right after you rooted but before you installed rubix then restore it and take the ota and you will be good....if you dont have the backup you can flash the 2.2 sbf and then take the ota ....if you need the sbf here it is with instructionsHmmm. I have 2.3.15.MB810 with Revolution installed as my Rom and them themed. But what I can't figure out, as Droidworld and people here are saying conflicting things, if I had the OTA 2.2 then flashed to Revolution (which removed some of the bloatware), if I can now just do the update.zip method or if I have to SBF backward to come back up to 2.2.340.
If anyone has ideas, I'd appreciate it, cheers!
