I love the speed test app. Here's my last results:

I'm going to run this again when I get out of the building I'm in since it is an older building and getting a signal at all in here is a pain in the ass. I'm suprised it was that good at all to be honest.

I get much worse speeds at home, but I'm normally on Wifi there...I'll update with home speeds tonight..
Are you sure you weren't on wifi? 3600kbs translates into 3.6mbs a second and verizons peak EVDO speeds are like 3.1 MAX. I mean unless you were on AT&T or Rogers or something of that nature.

1st test
Down: 962k
Up: 790k

2nd test -
Down: 1113k
Up: 819k

I'm in Saint Paul, MN. I can't believe how crazy fast some of the connections listed in this thread are. I'm jealous. This is a good day. Sometimes I get closer to ~700k down.

When I walked out of the verizon store with my droid the store was sitting about 700~ from a cell tower that was verizon I got close to 3MB/s down I almost shat brix as I watched youtube in high quality over 3G in my moving car like I was sitting at my desktop at home. The area of live in like I mentioned is just rock solid for AT&T and verizon.

Evolution-Data Optimized - Wikipedia.com said:
The EV-DO feature of CDMA2000 networks provides access to mobile devices with forward link air interface speeds of up to 2.4 Mbit/s with Rev. 0 and up to 3.1 Mbit/s with Rev. A. The reverse link rate for Rev. 0 can operate up to 153 kbit/s, while Rev. A can operate at up to 1.8 Mbit/s.

Anyone on VZW claiming higher speeds then that needs to post a image result for some proof, but it would most likely be a error in the Speettest app anyway if your getting anything above that. If you don't know how to get a image result, inside the app goto results and select the correct one, then hit the menu button and you can have it emailed, then post it up here.

Agreed and sprint for that matter. Not to mention those are theoretical speeds under perfect conditions (ie: no users using data, no obstructions, perfect backhaul, etc.) Thats why I was surprised when I got close to 3MB/s however Ive never seen that anywhere else so I'm guessing that rev a. tower must have been seriously jacked up being so close to verizons store.

Oh I'm not questioning your speed, I have pulled 2.98mbps before near a tower so I know it can be done, but anything above 3.1mbps I have trouble taking seriously.

Manhattan, NYC with Droid on 2.0.1

First test:
DL: 1437
UL: 172

Second test:
DL: 2033
UL: 181

What's going on with my upload speeds?? :)

I've seen >5Mb/s but over close to the airport today I got this, upstream is decent: (doesn't exactly make up for lack of an official v1.6 update but I'll manage)

7.2 on the Magic but 21 with the right phone and nobody else using the tower... Sometimes a tether connection is faster than my DSL.
