4.2.2 is here for boost k2_cl

Basically, you need to update your phone, flash TWRP (if it fails then unlock bootloader and flash it again), flash the zip to root your phone, and you should be good to use your device as you please.

Actually my real question was: After applying the 4.4.2 ota, I would be able to keep using app2sd on my phone? I will try the update and i will find out, i guess :)

Thanks a lot for your help & advice. I will do my part later on tonight.
I'll keep you posted. :)

Woooo!!!!!! Awwwww yes finally it's here, now how do I update since I am rooted and s-off? Lol

S-Off doesn't affect it. You will lose root though, but that's easily fixable.

Flash stock recovery, check for software update, download, install, done.

If it fails, then you need to restore your device back to stock then retry the update again.

Where's the stock recovery? I already got the latest TWRP from the past post, and I also have the superuser zip used before when I rooted. Basically I just need stock recovery

Head over to XDA. old.splatterhand has a thread that holds the stock images for the k2 variants. I believe ours is in the third post? Anyways, check his index.

can someone tell me what the icon ifs between Bluetooth and signal? Looks like an "N" but I have no idea what it is.

So I flashed the stock recovery and performed a factory reset but the update still fails to go through, I always get a red triangle with an exclamation point after awhile what gives? Dx

Restore your device with the RUU. Then proceed with the OTA.

Where can I get it?
And cant i just restore my backup and flash the OTA manually? I have the OTA zip, but i need twrp again cuz now i have stock recovery again.

Go to the TWRP website and look up our device. The RUU can be found at androidruu.com listed under K2.

ATTENTION TO ALL K2_CL OWNERS:

This TWRP is version 2.7.0.1 and is repacked to work for only 4.2.2 JB with Sense 5. This is a must if you are currently running version 2.21 Bootloader (which if you accepted the OTA then most likely you are).

Enjoy :)

Code:
fastboot boot TWRP_2.7.0.1_K2_CL_422.img
Doesn't seem to work on my device with this file...I verified md5 is same...Just freezes the device & battery-pull to get it back...

I would really like to back things up / re-root before I flash TWRP...

Did you flash it or boot it into you phone?

You are doing something wrong on your end then. Works for me.

Ugh I hate my computer so much, it keeps freezing and failing every download I am doing. RUU won't download Dx

I am trying to boot it without flashing it.

I verified the md5, and it is the same as stated.

Trying this from a Mac that I used to load the RUU with no problems before I took the OTA upgrade...

Hmm, not sure what's going on over at your end then. I have zero bugs from it.

Good news is that I added the ability to backup the recovery lol. I am gonna add more options also like backing up the internal sdcard for example.

I haven't uploaded this yet so the one working right now will only give options for boot, data, cache, and system.

Simonsimons34 has moved on to the new M8 device so there won't be much support for TWRP over here anymore. He still has the device but he is busy developing for the M8 right now.

So in partial, I'm taking over it.

Edit: when I say "partial" I mean for K2_CL and possibly Cricket since they don't get much love but only if it is required to intervene for them. There are enough devs for the other K2 variants for their own support.
