Agreed, that is an AWESOME move if it's true. I already have $300 raised and plan to sell my Hero and 80gig ipod too, which should put me right in that area. *happy dance*![]()
Rumored $450 off contract. Not bad...
or sprint is just bending over backwards as usual to gain customers. its still failingIts insane that the EVO full retail price is $150 less then the Incredible. There's no explanation other than that either (a) Sprint is subsidizing the full retail price (through the $10/mo fee?), or (b) Verizon is screwing its customers. Or both.

I have 2 questions that maybe somebody can answer.
1) If I pay retail price of $450 then I don't have to sign another contract?
2) Is there still a $100 mail in rebate when u buy the phone without a contract?
2) Is there still a $100 mail in rebate when u buy the phone without a contract?
2) That is the way I read it and what people missed up until your post. I was going to say the same thing. This phone is actually $349 after rebate!!!!

Be advised, according to the Sprint reps I am speaking to now, this is NOT true. Both the MIR and New Line Activation/Upgrade credit, are apparently tied to your Upgrade Eligibility.![]()
So I can not get the mail in rebate because my upgrade isn't until October 1?
And how did u pull that off ?That is correct.
After dealing with an online service rep for about 20 minutes, they finally offered me a $100 account credit instead. They put a note on my account that they made this offer to me, so once I buy an Evo, I can call back and they'll apply the credit. That was an acceptable compromise.
And how did u pull that off ?
It looks like they are saying the cost on contract is $449 but if you have a NEW 2 year contract it's another 150 off plus a 100 MIR, but they also mention the $200 ETF before anything so I think that is also factored into the $449 price. I think the retail will be closer to $600
