Root 4G problem on CM7

I'm currently running CyanogenMod 7.0.3.1 and have to manually turn on 4G each time I reboot. Once I turn it on it works great, so I know my keys are ok, but rebooting requires me to manually turn it on again. I remember having to do this in the previous version of CM as well.

Why doesn't it turn on automatically after each boot? Is there a fix for this? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

You know, I had a similar problem with cm7 and 4g. Are you using the Toggle in the notification pull down thing?

I think when I did it, I had to use the Power Widget (or whatever it's called).

I've tried via Settings and again via the notification drop-down buttons. I'll try the power widget and see how it works.

Edit: It doesn't work there either. No matter how I turn 4G on I'm required to turn it on each time the phone reboots.

Yeah, I don't recall my problem exactly, but it had to do with cm 7 and 4g. I think it would just never connect or the toggle wouldn't turn on or something...

Hope that works..

Yeah, there must be one out there. It's cm7 after all, one of the most popular android roms out there. Someone must know the answer, just not me.

I spent some time today flashing other AOSP ROMs and this problem exists on all of them. I'm beginning to think this is an AOSP issue rather than a CM7 issue.

Interesting. I'm surprised that this is the first hearing of it though. Good to know that it's with aosp roms.

If you're having issues with 4G, I would flash a more current build of CM7, I would even flash the most current nightly as I've always run into more problems the stable releases than I have with the nightly builds;)

I haven't flashed any nightly builds yet. Where should I start? With the stable direct to the latest, or an older build first? I don't have 4g option..

it is not labeled 4g it is labled under wimax. you should have wimax on cm7. if not you may want to check if you have your wiamx keys. download the rsa wimax key checker from the market. i would start with the latest nightly and work you way backward if you want to try them. i usually try the stable versions, but for some they were not so stable.
