Oh I forgot about this I had went into the lg service menu & set the ICC needs activation to off so now if you take out the sim card you just get no 4G but everything else works

what would happen if you put the sim in another metro 4g phone???

Sammyz I had put my S3's sim card with unlimited data into a motion that had a sim with throttled data and it still worked

Service menu a no go on 10 #*#*4636*#*# works though.... wasn't there a thread on this?

Yes there was a thread a couple of months ago where me & Sepero were tryin to get to the stock android hidden menu(*#*#4636#*#*) On stock rom but LG had blocked it even though we had found an app that could get in it but it pops up saying incompatible with this device. LG's done a real good job blocking it.

What did you use to get to the menu? I forgot the other code but ##lgservicemenu is a no go.

I have ICC off, and it only allows emergency calls.

Though, when I turn off n-work lock, then I can make any calls and access the internet. 4G is also disabled on mine. Mine doesn't show 3G, but I don't think it ever shows 3G for lack of it in my area. It shows evdo or 1x.

EvDO is 3G I just changed my icon because I didn't like EV

Hi fellas, I'm new too the forum. I have been trying too get answers from MetroPCS about my lg motion 4g phn. I ask them to provide me with the Sim unlock code with no luck. I want switch to another. How can i get my Sim unlock code without MetroPCS?

Did you have too do anything special such as inputting an Sim unlock code to use a different network Sim card?

Did you have to input any special Sim unlock code for another carrier Sim card?

There is no such thing as a Sim unlock for the Motion. This is a CDMA phone and SIM unlocks are for GSM phones, or certain world phones that Verizon and Sprint have. The Motion is stuck on Metro's network and will soon be obsolete since the Metro CDMA network is going away. The "SIM" card in the Motion isn't really a SIM card like on T-Mobile or AT&T phones.

Thanks for the answer. I hoping there was another alternative besides buying a new phn.

Really?
Yeah, unfortunately since the CDMA network is going away it's not possible. It can still be used as a Wi-Fi device at home or out though.
Can you expand on that? Id like to know more on that.
