Hmm, the implication is that a soak test is coming....
Time to make sure my info is current...
People are trying to put 2 +2=904. Just because someone found this in cheesecake and a soak test is coming people assume they go together. There is a chance it will be another stray from the upgrade path.
What is broken that is so important that it must be repaired now? With 5.9.902 it was final correction of a number of data drop issues. What is it now that justifies the risk?
In addition ... here's a word of caution ...
The Droid X was upgraded and pushed out to all devices recently and a number of people jumped on installing the upgrade the instant it was made available.
Unfortunately that version was closing off methods to allow people to root their Droid X. There was no known method for root-ing after installing the upgrade.
You might well ask ... why did Motorola/Verizon do that?

Anyone having any connectivity on 904 using the YouTube app?
I am one of those people. I feel like I actually had better 3G/4G switching when I was off of the upgrade path.actually, 902 was not a universal fix. People were still having issues with 4G To 3G hand offs, and even the 904 hasn't fixed everything.

I haven't had any problems since .902, so I see no need to bother upgrading, especially since it might disable my root and thus unfreeze all the POS programs that are defaulted onto the OS.
So far I've taken my Bionic from 902 to 904 and back to 902 without any issues. I used voodoo ota rootkeeper to keep root. I also used motofail to get root back when I restored to 902.
On this article Verizon Update Schedule Out; HTC, Motorola Updates Incoming - Other News - droid HIVE - Articles - droidHIVE it says that we will get, if nothing goes wrong, 5.9.904 on 5/05.
I don't see anywhere in this article where it specifies what version of software is being tested for the Bionic. It says SU3, 42MB, in test. That appears to be a rather minor update, and this probably is 904, but could also be another build, as we have seen build numbers differ from leaks before.
Now the thing I dont like is why is the RAZR getting ICS before us? maybe they are using the RAZR as a test to make sure they give the Bionic the ICS it deserves.
It is very simple ... it is marketing ... the Razr is their iPhone-killer. If you like the iPhone I venture to guess that you like the Razr. If you don't like the iPhone I venture to guess that you like the Bionic.

Well if you look at what date its getting tested 4/16-5/1 and then you look at when 904 was official announced on 4/14. I am pretty sure that it is 904 but I have been wrong before too haha.
