6/21 Maintenance Update thread. Rolling out now.

people with phones acting funny... i did a factory reset last week and my phone is running great! NO random reboots like before.
i did try to back up everything with my backup pro (that didn't work for me) lost allot of contacts :(... anyways i re downloaded everything i can think of and just like other people have said i have a HUGE amount of space available on my phone now. from around 50mb free before and now after the reset i have 160mb free..

one thing to remember that i now know is make sure all your contacts are google contacts so that sync back to your phone no problem.

You might also let people know that when doing this, it wipes all settings, and all panels in Sense.

The proper thing to do is to advise people that they will then need to spend an hour or so resetting their Evo.

This "fix" is not too far from a hard reset where your phone is entirely wiped.

Wow...thank you. I was just about to do it and then something in my head said let me read a little further and then I saw your post.

I don't have it either. It says I still have version 4.22.651.2. The new version is supposed to be 4.24.651.1. I look for the update every day and it says no updates available. I've tried updating PRL, profile and then restarting and still nothing.
 
Someone in the market said Sprint pushed a new update yesterday, and it fixed their voice to text. I haven't been able to get the update yet.
 
I haven't got anything yet. But I never had a problem with my voice to text, so will I still get it?
 
The update for GB won't show up in the market. It will be an OTA just like the last update. Just hold tight, only a few people seem to have gotten it.
 
Not enough power to charge?
Hey everyone. OK, I have the most recent update (I think, build # 4.24.651.1 dated June 14th). However, ever since that update if my battery gets down to 15% it says that there is not enough power to charge my phone even if it is plugged into my EVO power supply or my laptop USB. I run Android Booster and close tasks, turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and it still won't charge when it gets that low? Any ideas on this??
Sidenote, my NetFlix works great!! Watch full movies in my que...My daughter watched The Sorcerer's Apprentice on the way home from KY this evening and only issues was buffering (not the greatest coverage going up I-65).

Well it's odd. It shows it as charging and once it runs all the way down, I can plug it in and the charging light will flash for about 5 minutes then it will charge fine. If the phone is off, for example, yesterday before I did this post, it was down to 9% or so. I turned it off and about 30 minutes later I turned it back on and it was up to 41%. But when it was at 41%, I placed a call for about 10 minutes or so and the charge was down to 34%. It's just odd...
 
Sprint pushed an update today in most of MO/IL that rendered some of our phones unable to text for a few hours. Updated to 4.24.651.1 and now my Voice-to-Text works again. I don't see any other changes with the phone.

:confused::confused:4.24.651.1 was pushed a LONG time ago. I've been on that for a while.
 
I dunno what's going on. If you read Sprint's forums you will see Sprint employees talking as if they are working on it and all.. but it's been a problem for about 6 weeks now and nothing has been done yet.
