Root .602 Question

Hi guys,

I just got home from my week's vacay. I'd like to ask if it's worth going through the trouble of getting .602. As I understand it, it is not de-odexed as yet? If not, I'll skip it.

1) Yes you can do that through advanced restore in CWR.

2) Yes, but you will revert to .596 framework.....don't know how much different .596 vs .602 frameworks are.

Extra credit answer: I don't know, I haven't tried .602 myself, but the new radio may be worth the upgrade.

Steven, you should at least flash the new radio, my signal strength has improved, or so it seems, I've no real proof that its better.
 
i'm glad i'm not the only one asking myself this same flippin question. Everyone says its just a radio update yet that change log from VZW's site says all kind of stuff was fixed.

Bo: I'm on CM7 if i go through all of the hoopla of getting the .602 can i then relash CM7?

i'm thinking i'll just stay put where i am. I thought i heard somewhere that this was just a minor update and that the bigger one was still coming. Plus if/when CM7 gets ported using the new 2ndInit that runs on the GB kernal then i'll just run that. ( i know there is already an unofficial beta for that but i'll wait a little longer)

I have been out of the loop a lot lately also. However not as lucky as Steven. ......Trophy has been working 14 hours a day 7 days a week and that leaves almost zero time to keep up with my Android hobbies.
 
I am on stock GB .602 and cant "see" or "feel" anything different but i do notice that i no longer have the option in the camera to take panoramic pics and i was running a different launcher and after the update ran into issue of the launcher really laggy and when scrolling the icons would leave a trail and not go away but on stock launcher no issue with that. hope that helps

also wanted to add it seems like my 3g speeds have slower time via speed test anywhere during the day a drop from .01-.10 and at night up to a whopping .60 downgrade lol but uploads are better lol
