Thanks. I down loaded this and took a look at it. I assume that if I want to root only, I will use root.bat and if I want to root and install recovery, then I use the rootandrecovery.bat. I haven't made up my mind if I want to root, yet, or not. But, if/when I do, this'll probably be what I use.
 
Soooooo which one of you guys can I trouble for a link to firmware F recovery.img so I can try and make a true recovery for the motion.

I did one for the Spirit that works just fine found here so I'd like to give it a shot for the motion.

Awh, I was trying for HOURS to get him the recovery.img from a kdz file using like 3 different programs to extract it. I just kept getting .dll and wdb and wdh files, which I had no clue what to do, even with all the time I spent looking for how to open them.
I never figured it out.
Next time i'll just use adb and get them from my phone :p
 
Easiest way to get recovery....

[HIGH]adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery of=/sdcard/motion-recovery.img[/HIGH]

Just posted this for those that are curious how to get it.

What to do with it exactly!?
 
i can't go into recovery after i flashed playfulgod's cm10. tried reinstalling the app, redoing everything. factory reset. i tried everything but my phone skips the recoverymode when it comes to it. and security bootloader warning thing at the top left in small font before it restarts. how do i get this to work again? thanks in advance
 
You're not supposed to use this if you flash cm10, cm10 already comes with recovery pre-installed. Using this messes it up. There should be big red letters on the original post saying not to use this on cm10

You DO NOT use this for recovery on CM10!
The security bootloader thing is nothing to worry about, it just confirms that you are using the overclock kernel
