Accessories are showing up

This is one I've got my eye on:

HTC EVO 3D Car Dock - iGrip Charging Mount

It seems to be an ok price for a mount. I mean, it's not eBay $3 junk, and it's not official Sprint/HTC ripoff junk, so I figure it's ok. The only thing that bugs me is that, while this may eventually be a real product, it appears that the little picture is computer generated. I would need to see pictures of the actual product before I threw down $40 for it.
 
Do modern batteries still have to be trained? What I mean is we used to have to charge them all the way up and then use them until they die to train the battery "memory"?

I don't want the representative who sets up my Evo3D to mess up the battery memory when he sets it up; if that's still a thing we need to do. :confused:

No, but you do need to initialize the battery. After you get your phone take it home and charge the phone with it completely powered down. Charge for about 8-10 hours. The light will turn green rather quickly but the battery wont be fully charged. Let the battery keep charging.

Lithium ion batteries can remember their maximum charge capacity by initializing the battery. Hence people have battery life problems because they dont do this. And battery manufacturers don't initialize the batteries at the plant.
 
No, because the battery hasn't been charged yet. The rep is just turning the phone on, not charging the battery for the first time. No you cannot reinitialize a battery.
 
Looking forward to my Evo3D and just want to make sure I take good care of it's most-used accessory. It's battery. =)

If all else fails I'll just get an extended battery and do it myself.

If i remember correctly, when i got my first evo 4g, i got it activated and did not turn it off at all. I never had battery problems, i would get about 8-10 hrs to a charge until i underclcoked and changed the kernel. I believe you are misinformed
 
My co-worker just got a 4G and an Otterbox. The thing looks like it could double as a fall out shelter because it's so bulky. The screen looked like Kenny's face (from South Park). I'll pass on Otterboxes.

I'll probably get another platinum series case that I got for my DX. Hopefully with a kickstand.

I'm with you on this one.

When I received my EVO it was about 50% charged out of the box. I messed with it for a little while and then threw it on the charger while still messing with it. Never have seen an issue with the battery. It gets the same battery life most people on here were reporting.

I have the Evo 4G and what I did was I went to an office supply store and bought a couple of business card holders. If you can find the right ones, without sides, they make perfect portable phone cradles. This is the one I bought but most office supply stores have similar holders.

I have this one on my desk and just threw my EVO 4G in it. Works perfect.

according to a video, a sprint rep said that they will have a case available that has a kickstand built in to it. So unless you are totally against cases, i would suggest trying that.
 
Man, I just want a really slim case that doesn't add to the bulk of the 3vo.

Or a nice one with a kick stand and a belt clip so I don't have to put this in my pocket period.
