Accessories are showing up

it may not mean much, but it does mean something. if accessories are starting to show up then its not too far off. this was about the same time last year when stuff started showing up for the evo.
 
you could be correct sir/ma'am. to me it looks like a knockoff. it does not look like sprint packaging im used to seeing, nonetheless thank you for the intel. :)
 
Good news to see these hitting the stores.

I'm hoping to see a new back side come to the shelves. I like the whole phone design, but I'm just not a fan of the red outline of the camera area. I'm hoping for something on the shelf in a silver or blue. I'd snap that up in a heartbeat.

Do you have an EVO? Placing a case on the 3D will not change the red color around the camera lens. When a company builds a case for the phone they will more than likely stop before the bezel around the camera and make it protrude so the phone will not rest on the lenses.

Actually, from the look of the Amzer gel cases, it will cover almost all of it, except for the small part where the external speaker is

Right. That is why I said a new back side all together.

For example, there is a Kiosk in the local mall that sells new back side covers for phones that replace stock shells. I wasn't speaking of a case to cover the phone, I was talking about taking the stock backing off and replacing it. Maybe I was slightly unclear, but I want a new back cover, not just a case to cover it.

I'll definately add that to any future posts such as my previous. Btw, and not trying to be smart in anyway, but is that the official word for the back cover? It would make sense, in a way.

They may be getting closer. The E3D page on HTC now shows gold trim around the camera instead of red. This may be the final product version or an alternate rear battery cover. If so, it will be one of my purchases with the phone.

The gold trim around the camera is probably for the gsm version. On htc's site if you select the united states then look at the sprint branded 3d then you will see it still has the red trim.
 
Lens bezel colors discussed in the when is it released thread - please don't cross-post if you can help it, it confuses us simple mods as well as lurkers trying to find updated info. ;)
 
I am really surprised the phone isn't coming with a Kickstand. It was such a talked-about feature on the original Evo and they included one on the T-Bolt. Really surprised the 3D doesnt come with one. :o
