Root [ACS]Root for Transform Ultra

Man... No matter how many times I try this, I get the same thing on different computers. It says cwm/mod not found. NO such file or directory. Same for zergRush. I REALLY want my phone rooted so I can run lucky patcher.. So.. If anyone could help it would make my week for sure.. I have it in debugging mode.. I disabled the antivirus/firewall. Still same thing. It says cleaning up files then it says your phone should be rooted. Then it reboots.
 
Hey man welcome, just want to start off by saying its not ok to discuss apps like that here.. prolly not ok to even mention them.

Ok with that out of the way, this root method will not work on 2.3.6 which may be why its not working for you.. in any case this is not the only way to root your phone.

I would suggest odin'ing cwm on your phone and flashing bads3ctors root file or a rom that would give you root (anything but a stock rom).
 
every time i try to root my transform ultra its gets to sending 189 zerlings and the goes to hellion with blue flames im wondering why it does that
 
Cannot root phone, tried multiple times on multiple computers.
Keeps saying same thing.. PLEASE HELP!!

Do you have 2.3.4 or 2.3.6? This will only work on 2.3.4... for 2.3.6 you need to install root from an alternative method, search for it in these subforums its buried somewhere but the topic and solution was made by weirdfate (thanks again weird :)) or just odin cwm onto your phone and flash a rooted rom or flash a root file before letting your phone reboot after odin. The problems you are having I have seen with 2.3.4 but a long time ago.. make sure your antivirus turned off and redownload it after turning it off and try again. If it continues to fail just try the odin method.. there are a couple of video tutorials on these forums too. Good luck!
 
I have been reading and reading all these posts but the one post that has the same issue as mine doesn't have a fix posted so far. Here is my problem: I have checked that usb debugging is on and installed the drivers for my phone and get this every time I try to root. I rebooted and still nothing. What do I need to do to get this to work? From what I have read in here it works great and I am very anxious to root my phone. I also had to use the second link so the file to choose from was different than what the youtube vid stated. Thanks to any and all who can help me!!!

and ive seen all videos and no one elses does that and itll also say failed to copy busybox or whatever

Which version of Android does your phone have? This root method only works for 2.3.4.

Thanks for the heads up. I used the 1click method back when my TU was running 2.3.3 and it worked great. Now, I got an OTA update to 2.3.6 and root broke. Still have SU app and /system/bin/su, but no access to root privileges.....Permission Denied!

Not exactly sure how I should approach this....
 
i am very confused because i had root with version 2.3.6 but then i got it to 2.3.4 because my my wifi wouldnt work and i have no service and i still have the superuser app but there is no root and if i try to root using the 2.3.4 method it doesnt work
 

I originally became interested in rooting my phone because I wanted to get the $hevron rom on my phone (Boost mobile samsung transform ultra) along with other decent root requiring apps. It took me a while to figure out how to root. But I eventually figured it out after an extensive search of instructions. So I rooted my phone. I installed a few root requiring apps, like titanium backup. then my phone did an update, and i discovered that my phone was not rooted anymore. Quite frustrated with this, I found that super user is still on my phone. So i figured maybe another time I will try re rooting my phone again, after I better understand how to install this rom after and make sure phone is updated as it needs to be before root. So my problem now is I want to remove super user from my phone, since it is useless without root.. I tried looking up everywhere on how to do this, with this situation of being unrooted. I really dont want to have to root my phone again just to remove SU and remove root again. Ive found many of the instructions on what to do, to be beyond my understanding. (yep pretty much a noob), and I dont want to tinker with my phone and mess it up with only partially understood instructions. Ive tried factory reset, and Ive tried super one click. and Superuser is still there. and now when I try to move things to SD card in phone it sumtimes says error on first try. Im gettin very nervous with the my phone. Ive heard of flashing and SBF and RDA, and I dont have any idea how to do that... Could anyone please help me.???
 
Odin cwm onto your phone and use the tu_boost_unroot_.zip bads3ctor posted on these subforums. However you could just as easily flash a root zip to reroot in the same fashion if its still around from when chevanlol360 posted it... I will see about making one if it is not still around.

Root zip whats that about? Does it give superuser root permissions?
 
Only use the methods posted on this forum under the All things root! Section if you want your Transform Ultra rooted. It is the safest and most thoroughy tested methods to get your phone rooted correctly. On other sites I have been to either there is no work on this phone or they make references to work done by the Developers here.

Thanks to our Dev's, testers and everyone who helps them, their dedication to this phone and us who use it is amazing!!!
 
My cell dose not have signal after boost update. Will root help fix this.
thinking my cell have tracing programs or something. boost wont even help me reset... Help please...
 
Please oh please let this topic die! lol it is iffy even with 2.3.4 roms... guys just odin cwm onto your phone and flash a rom with root already.. there is a post with a list of such roms somewhere around here..
