Root Adding a Theme over a Theme

I was running Fission 2.4.3 and added a theme (Fission Black) then switched to another theme (Thirdeye Black) using FRM and selecting Data Wipe only. The phone got pretty buggy after the change, WiFi dropping, laggy, etc.

What is the best way to switch themes? Data + Cache Wipe? If so what's the best/easiest way to get the phones apps and data restored, TiBu?

Looking for advice, thanks!

I've been wondering the same thing. I want to check out other themes but don't want to screw something up.

SBF? Seriously? Holy crap, that's a lot of work. Thanks for the response though. I do have a good base Nandroid but then you have to load the ROM again first as well.

just reinstall the rom you are useing themes install in the framework which is a sys file and so most roms just overwrite the system just a install of the rom will clear any changes

well what i do is after i flash a rom and let everything restore itself like my apps and i get my settings and everything set up i make a clean backup of the rom that way when i do switch themes i restore that clean rom backup and flash the theme ,then you wont have to wipe data or cache and i would reinstall any missing apps with tibu but not data ,personally i dont like to estore data as things can get buggy

Thanks gmen, that's a good strategy. I don't care about data either but thought I would ask, it might be helpful for someone else who wants to hold onto their Angry Birds scores, LOL!

lol and this way you will always have a clean backup of the rom of choice so you can do your experimenting as well and if things go wrong you always have it handy

I just backup the basic rom, then load a theme.

If I want a different theme, I restore my basic rom backup.

When the next OTA comes, I'll clear data/format and restore my OTA backup.

That's what I do too, I install all my apps on the initial run of what ever ROM I am using with Titanium backup restore and set everything up like I like it.

If I ever need to change themes I just restore my nandroid and apply the theme. I wipe everything (cache, data, battery info. and dalvik) before applying my nandroid. I think it's the easiest and cleanest way to go about it.

i flash theme over theme over theme.....
if there is something that doesnt get covered by the next theme ill use this that ang was saying to use.

"Added 10% Battery Display option to FRM. Will reset current theme back to Stock Fission."

Team DeFuse

should be in rom manager. flash it then flash your new theme.^

(on another note, my luck ran out as i was doing some mods to bwc just now and my gallery started fc, so off to just reinstall....lol).
