That's so true, but I do love Pabst. (I mainly drink good beers, but I won't turn down PBR.) At least it's better than most of the crappy beers out there. (E.g. Natural ice, or light; Keystone, Budweiser, or Coors.)
 
PBR if you're cheap. Since you DO live in NY I would suggest some craft beers if its just you and a few friends, not like a party. Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA is good, along with Smuttynose. As for ALCOHOL alcohol, I'd echo a previous post with Wild Turkey, ESPECIALLY American Honey. Its strong, tastes like honey, and safe enough that the ladies like it.

jack daniel's tennessee honey and red bull.... a honey bomb... fill a cocktail glass with red bull, just enough to cover a shot glass... pour a shot of honey jack and drop it in, shot glass and all... it's awesome...
 
+1 for absinthe :)

When i wasn in college it was all red bull and vodka with a tequilla shot glass dunked in it. (Does it have a name?)

But by when by myself, I drank Absinthe.
(religion and philosophy major, so yeah)

However, some good Japanese sake is also a good choice.
No need to mix with anything, very easy to drink.

Korean Shoju (?) and japanese shochu is really good too.
Both are great for mizing with practically anything.
 
jack Daniels makes me puke my insides out.
Tequila makes my feet useless and I wake up the next day covered in bruises and sprained ankles.
 
I drink Makers Mark. But when I used to get wasted it was Jim Beam. So really, Jim Beam and cola will work for most any oarty. Get some Chambord and White Zin for the ladies. Drop a half shot of Chambord into a big glass of cheap $4 per bottle of white zin from wal-mart and you have a winner.
 
I just picked up some of this, I'll let everyone know how it tastes...if I remember....

Seriously? Fizzy soft drinks are nasty. Some drugs are illegal but I see truck loads of the stuff & when it's sold in 2L bottles (we even have Coke here in 3L :() you can see that some people are hooked on the stuff. If you're thirsty, ice cold water does the job.

Everything in moderation. So in that respect, no to fizzy pop full of aspartame, acesulfame (carcinogenic), high fructose corn syrup & other cr@p. Yes to a nice spirit or liquer every so often. OK so alcohol is technically a poison, but people do get hooked on fizzy pop, usually at a much younger drinking age than they would with alcohol :rolleyes:. Not to mention CocaCola are not exactly ethical in how they source water OR employ staff, particularly in the poorer countries of the world.

(Mix those 2 together with some light cream and its really good.)


Whipped Cream Vodka and orange soda makes a creamsicle that delicious too.
