Boot Manager

Note: I am using the pro version, I can't vouch for the lite version.

Also, the developer has abandoned this app, so it's not being updated right now. I have heard they are trying to find someone else to take over development. Anyway, It isn't compatible with Jellybean and also has problems flashing roms that use aroma. (have to restore a nandroid for those ones).

But I have my JB rom flashed to my phone and a sense GB rom dual booted with boot manager. Works fine!

Must be using the cobalt cm10 theme ;) That's one of my favorites. I'll post my setup in a minute.

How do you like the rom?
 
So far I'm loving it. I just have the GPS issue, and the screen just LOVES to turn on while on the phone o.o It doesn't hang up at least...just opens music and other apps that I don't need while I'm on the phone xD
 
flashed it last night and have been enjoying it today.
Saw when I flashed it with 4EXT, that it had GAPPS. nice.

Only hitch I had was when I tried to log into WIFI. My password has punctuation marks. Long pressing on the period brought up a big blank screen with "noise" on it. I knew where the Punc.Marks I needed were, so it became a non issue. I normally use Kii keyboard, and after installing it I have had no problems.
Great job on this ROM.
Question: Any way to have both ringtone and vibrate?

Which folder do I put the gallery2apk in to use the evervolv one?

Put the Evervolv one in /system/app and make sure permissions are set to RW-R-R

I just delete the one with Titanium Backup, and then put the new one in.

I see that line about permissions thrown around, and I must admit, it doesn't make sense to me. I thought it would, but it doesn't.

On the permissions page, I don't see RW-R-R, all I see are some check boxes and definitions for those check boxes, but for me, it's not intuitive what I need to do. Also, the first time I put that camera app in on Dastin's ROM, I didn't set the permissions and rebooted. When i went back to set them, I was unable to. The system wouldn't let me. So I decided to go back to the original .apk file and change the permissions before moving it into the proper folder. Well, it wouldn't let me change them on the SD card.

I spent a few minutes trying to figure out what to do, then it hit me...restore the NAND and try again some other time. I've found that restoring a NAND is oftentimes the FASTEST way to fix something. :D

Also, upon restoring the NAND, Dastin's ROM stopped crashing when I used the camera button. Kinda weird.

So let's assume I want to do this again to this ROM. Can you give me a step by step on this, or a link to a step by step? S-p-e-l-l it out for me please.
 
Easiest way:

Download ES File Explorer. And in the ES Settings enable Root explorer and mounting system as writeable. Copy the APK to /system/app, and that's it ;) ES changes it for you

IMO ES File explorer is the best file manager around. im pretty sure it has all the features of the paid app "root explorer " with a better interface and its free......;)

Yeah, the interface rocks. I had no idea it had root capabilities until Prinny told me. I bought Root Explorer years ago, and have used it for access to system files up until this morning. I am an ES convert now 100%.

It's funny too because I have both ES and Root Explorer in a folder called Explorers. I can now remove one of those from the folder :D
 
has anyone tried anthrax kernel with this ROM. are they compatible?


*edit* no patience. I flashed it.. ended up in a nice bootloop... Oh well. thats why there are backups !!!
