anyone tried this at all i see they have an updated version on the page as of yesterday, and im curious if this is just a beta build with some bugs or an official build that was leaked or somthing?

Tim, this is God. For all the naughty things you've been doing online with your phone, I've decided to punish the entire Samsung captivate community collectively.
Just kidding. I didn't need to do anything. Samsung is dishing out all the punishment for me. Very convenient for me since you'd decided to buy Samsung.

Yes, it is. I'm running Cog 4 now, it's excellent. GPS is unbelievable, I never had an indoor lock before flashing it.
Tim this is G-d. Normally I would be happy to cooperate, but even I can't control Samsung.....
Long time lurker and I can't resist stirring the pot.
Looking at the leaked announcement and over at XDA, the highly anticipated release is going to be 2.2, not the 2.2.1 that would at least bring it up to what every one else is getting. The 2.2.1 update's main feature is adding native BT Voice dialing. Not a huge issue with most users, but still after waiting this long?
Also, saw a report that MS pulled the Win 7 update to Samsung phones, because it was bricking a "small number" of phones. Very similar to what happened with Rogers update. Seems like Samsung needs 2 tries to get it half way right.
Anyone want to be the "early adopter" if /when the 2.2 update is available?
