just curious, how much Republic credit did it set you back? for the 4K UHD set?

Republic credits are no good out here, I need something more real! Like... toilet paper! Yes, this set cost an SUV load of toilet paper! I'm excited, though, to see what Lucasfilm and ILM have done to clean up movies that are 40+ years old...

The last one I saw was the one with the fight on lava. Loved the granduer and the spectacle of the entire movie but after that initial rush years later I wonder "WTF are those boots made of ?".

That was Episode III, Revenge of the Sith, probably in my top 3 favorites of the saga. Best opening sequence among all of them: the first 20 minutes have so much detail going on that it's impossible to see it all in a few viewings.

Yea it does suck. Hopefully Disney+ will add that feature as I find the series so very entertaining.

Never going to happen, not until all episodes release of course. While I love Netflix, entire season at once doesn't promote "buzz". It comes out, people talk for a couple days, everyone yells at each other over spoilers because everyone is on a different episode, then it gets forgotten. A weekly release gives each surprise/reveal/episode time to simmer and be talked about. Like Baby Yoda craze... I think some Netflix stuff would be even bigger if the season came out in a slow burn. I have anxiety trying not to finish Ozark too fast right now....

The entire Skywalker Saga in 4K UHD - all nine movies and hundreds of bonus features, are on the way! Release date is this Tuesday, March 31st. My pre-order has shipped and on the way, as is my pre-order of Rogue One in 4K from Amazon.
Watching it in machete order retains the full drama of the original trilogy; then goes back to the beginning so the viewer can understand how things got to that point and how key characters developed; and allows for a passage of time before picking up at Episode VII, which happens some 30 years after Episode VI. Try it!

The movie Solo wasn't even included on my original list. For me, it was so bad that I don't even consider it a part of the set. If you liked it, however, and want to include it, watch it FIRST before any of the others.

Yea, lol, might as well get that out of the way first. I enjoyed it, but SOOO many stupid things in it. I've recently got addicted to Screen Rant 'Pitch Meetings' and LOVE them. Here's the one for SOLO (SPOILERS)

HAHAHAHA, I ripped the holiday special to PC yesterday. Going to start selling copies of it, lol. And I have the OG versions of OG trilogy.

Boxes in boxes indeed. Bestbuy charging $250, *limited* quantity.

I watched trailers for some of the bonus content, looks pretty cool. It's 1 entire disc for each of the 9 movies. So a ton of stuff, I'm sure a bunch that has already been released though. This is from ROS, but indicative of what the bonus content is I think:

Bristol is my home city, so that was the accent I grew up with.

Events and revelations in Episode 9 help to answer our many questions. That said, I'm as happy as I'm going to get with the saga, considering that it's too late to go back and reshoot the last three movies.

It's good to know that efforts are being made to save and restore the soundtrack... of which I still have the original Star Wars Soundtrack album from the 1970s...

It's Dave Prowse acting in that scene, it sounds just like one of our school plays at when I was at secondary school in Bristol. No wonder James Earl Jones was the voice of Darth Vader.

no this was from his tv show he had very a very short while. it was a sketch type of show and he just did one on star wars.....i had to research that. i just randomly saw that one popup on youtube.
