Root All you droid x rooters

You cannot overclock without a custom kernel which would require the ability to flash custom roms which we cannot do yet(maybe never:()because of the encrypted bootloader
 
I read that Milestone can be overclocked. Its bootloader hasn't been cracked yet. So it seems it can be done without modification to the ROM.
 
they need a new kernel for Overclocking. If it can be done w/ the Milestone, the X will be overclocked
 
I use setCPU to under clock mine in certain situations. My max is 0.6 Ghz when my screen is off for example, plus under clock on high battery temp and low battery. I have seen no lag or any performance issues, but I have seen a better battery life.
