Root [AllianceROM][r7.7] HybriD 3D

I just flashed this rom so ill let everyone know how i like/dislike it. i could never get kingdom roms to work until this. every time i tried it thru me an error message, something like cant find ro.device. idk but for everyone worried about battery life download juicedefender. no matter what rom im on i can get an average of two days on one charge.

EDIT: so far the only problem im having is while i have the usb connected to the computer it keeps waking the phone up to ask if i want charge or disk drive mode. other than that this is one of mi faves.
 
I'm running Mik 1.04. Would you say this Rom is better than Mik ? I'm guessing this is a sense based rom. Do I have to partition my sd card for kings r7? I wasn't gonna change roms for awhile, but I loves my Kings. Thanks

i really like both roms. both devs are amazing. it is a sense based rom with a bit of sense 2.1 and 3.0. it is just as fast as kings and you do not have to partition your sd card.
 
Thanks for the answers. I'm a bit confused , so this Alliance rom r7.2, is this a Kings rom? Or is my Brain not working right ...lol. What would you say is the best sense rom(right now) that doesn't require your sd to be partitioned??

Yes it's a King's ROM. I'm currently running MikG 2.1 w/o a partitioned sd card w/o issue.

kings or mikg i think are my top two. but i love kingdom's rom. if you have a class 4 or higher sd card, i really suggest you try it out. i keep coming back to it.
 
Right now I have the sd card that came with the phone, I assume that's a class 4 card right? I'm going to buy a 16 gig card at best buy Friday, any brand better than the other? I've only got 2 gigs left on my card right now, and I'm not sure that's enough, for any more nandroids . New card time. I want lots more space....lol
 
Thanks for the card recommendation. I shop at new egg a lot for my son..lol. I can't wait to flash the newest kings...wow he is fast.
 
it should be pointed out that king is using mik's rom as his base. I think that's why he's calling this 'alliance' rom. most of the differences I see are the themeing king has done, and obviously he got the carousel working (myn also posted a zip for synergy for this as well) so if you're trying to decide between one or the other, it probably doesn't matter at this point

I like where king is going, but right now a lot of the graphical stuff seems a little sloppy...I think I'll wait on this one for a bit, because I do generally like king's work.
 
Wheres the change log for this?...I dont wanna flash it if its just minor things...7.2 is working fine for me...netflix,hulu everything is good...

well looks like king is updating his rom faster then he can update the changelogs. he only list the 7.0 changelog so im not sure what the difference is. you can always make a nandroid backup then flash the update. if for whatever reason you do not like it you can go back. i trust anything from king so give it a try. gonna do it later this evening.
 
7.3 will have most of the 3.0 3d widgets and mik's updated kernal/bin/lib whatever's from the latest OTA, and he fixed netflix and changed the flip clock

the only widget that won't be there is the calendar, as there's still some sizing issues there
 
I tried both Kings roms and they are nice. The carousel lags a little but other than that, I like both roms. Looks like the only difference with Miks rom is that Mik doesn't have the carousel. However, Mik's rom is very good as well. Can't really go wrong with any of them. Hulu and Netflix work very well,
 
Damn, did they update the kernel from 7.2 to 7.3?..My battery life has gotten awesome...I was somewhat discouraged with 7.2 due to my battery draining quicker than it did with other roms, it wasnt awful but, it was far from good.

This new 7.3 release seems like they updated the kernel..because wow, its night and day with battery life.
 
Any major difference between stock or themed kings...obviously themed is self explanatory but, is that the only difference ? Which runs smoother or better? Or so there really no difference ? Thanks. I'm trying to decide between this and Kingdom...maybe I'll try both..lol

the themed version the typical kings theming and it has sense 3.0 carousel like the kingdom rom. pretty cool. the other one is just stocked nothing new.
 
Thanks, you are always so helpful. ;) I got the 16 gig. Card so now u have plenty of room. So I don't have to partition my card for the Kings but , I do if I want to try kingdom right??? Is it hard to do? Don't want to if I don't have to. Lol

what class did you get? it is recommended that you have at least a class 4 or higher. kings you do not really need to partition it, but if you want to try the kingdom rom and have all your apps then i would suggest that you do. here is the guide i followed:To Partition SD card and Flash KINGDOM Guide :D - xda-developers the only thing different that i did was make the swap to 32 instead of 0.
 
Thanks. I bought the sd card at best buy, pny (I think ) 16 gig card, I think it said class 4. Ill read up on partitioning just in case, thought it was pretty complicated . Maybe I'm wrong , hope so ..lol
 
Thanks, I'll do the reading about it. Think ill move from MIk to try out the new Kings...why can't I ever stay with a Rom more than a couple of weeks??? Lol. It's hard to stop flashing once you start.....oooo that sounds bad. ;)
