alpha GB 2.3 aosp

So KitsapAndroid, have you come across any problems flashing this rom with the RA recovery? From what I have read between threads, you are the only one I have seen do this. Im running RA 1.6 and have been happy with it, and dont really feel like switching recoveries if I dont have to. Thanks

I'm playing around here, and maybe I'm missing it, but I can't find how to get the %life to show in the battery indicator like in CM. And I have ZERO luck trying to get the Circle Battery Mod on there this morning.

Menu->Settings->Cyano Settings->User Interface->Status Bar, check battery percentage

For all I know, I may just have the lucky Hero. I am still using the RA 1.5 recovery. It works just fine for me. My phone also has no issues with the 768 oc either. My VVM is fully functioning as well. I am running it with JIT on as well at the moment. So far so good. I am loving Gingerbread! :D

I have solved the vibrate issue. I was just stupid and forgot to change the setting in the actual messaging options. I have run the phone with JIT and came to the conclusion that it does not make a difference when OC'd at 768. So now I run it with compcache at 18, and VM heap at 32 and it's smooth as butter. Have I mentioned how much I love this ROM? :D

Thanks for your response, but not quite.

I'm running the second newest (1/23 I think) version of this ROM. My menu tree goes; Menu -> Settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> Interface -> and then there is no Status Bar option.

I have since gotten the Circle Battery Mod up and running, so I don't need this option any more.

Thanks all.

It is nice:) Thanks aosp/CM;)

Well did load the latest release, and no go on the conference calls, also I get the random reboots, same I use to get when I tried CM6 for a while also, will keep it on for a while to see how it preforms from the earlier version I had a while back.

It's one of those you will have to try for yourself with the conference calling. Flash GB and try for yourself, lol;)

Had a case of the reboots earlier myself, they did go away though I blame the vm heap

Well this time i only got the reboot using the GPS status at set up, has not happened since, but did a manage A in the tools of GPS status and so far have not had a reboot, may add Deca #589 >>691Mhz Kernel next if it happens again

Heh, I think I will wait until things are more stable then. I also think the VM Heap is too large by default.

My friend flashed his Sprint HTC Hero to this and has not had booting problems though. He said he was thinking of trying the Deca kernel himself.

well I had the heap size set at 32 when the reboots started, I changed it back to 24, and haven't had one since.

I have my VM heap at 32. I do not have reboot issues. It's not a software problem though I suspect. It's more likely that just like with OC'ing, some Heros handle certain values better than others. In other words, it's a hardware issue most likely.

I am trying to use Method III with Terminal Emulator to flash ClockworkMod Recovery version 3.0.0.5. However it keeps telling me that I do not have "flash_image" or something when I enter in the commands.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I have the wrong version of Terminal Emulator? I have the one that is version 1.0.21.

anyone else getting the international data roaming alert, it's happened to me twice now while sitting in the house
