Root Amon Ra Style Recovery Nandroid Back-ups

it is supposed to work with amon ra and clockwork backups.
I am on 3.08. first one with all cap buttons working, I think. some folk suspected they had probs restoring with 3.11 and have gone back to 2.3. I jst dropped back down to 3.08.
I haven't restored any from 2.3 personally though.

I had a prob restoring once on 3.11.
Just made a nand of current aosp, going to try restoring a partitioned sense rom and see how that goes.
One thing, when you tell it to restore, you have to pick sd ext then too. easy to forget.
edit: Ok, when I went to restore said nand, android secure was x'd by default, I left it that way but x'd sd ext as well. It came up perfectly this time.
Oh and it was a nand made with 3.08, not 2.3, just to be clear.

So I switched back to Amon Ra 2.3 from Amon Ra Style 3.11 and nandroid restored MikG 3.0 which I orginally nandroid back-uped on Amon Ra Style 3.11 but it didn't work. I guess it did restore but was stuck on the lock screen so I did a battery pull and rewiped everything and tried again with same result. I did another battery pull and this time went in and just wiped cache and dalvik cache which also didn't fix the lock screen issue. So I guess this answers my question or did I do something wrong?

will 2.3 restore a 3.11 backup, not the other way around.

Glad it didn't hurt anything. Well, hope it didn't. have you flashed a rom or restored a 2.3 nand successfully yet?
No damage done thank goodness. Yeah when I switched back to Amon Ra 2.3 I nandroid the rom I was currently running which was TN Stock RLS .05 and it recovered just the way I wanted it to which is what I was trying to do with Amon Ra style 3.11 but it just wouldn't ever restore things right. Should have just stuck with Amon Ra 2.3 but wanted to try out something new and now I'm back to 2.3.

I just switched back to 3.11 from 2.3 cause I wanted my soft keys back, but all my bands were created with 2.3... Should I anticipate and issue whilst restoring?
