this thread is way too huge to be a sticky imo, so for what it's worth, i definitely agree

if you need more threads about musty rom and not keeping all the info in the same thread, yeah, unsticky it.

Oh, and while we're at sticky threads, you may easily merge three FAQ threads into a signle one. justjimjpc may be deleted because no one ever uses it.

when the amount of information reaches a certain point, it's not convenient to keep it all in the same place (especially when that place also holds a lot of non-information, such as this thread), but rather have a centralized place for the nutshell and link to the details from there
 
im not going to unsticky it, another mod can but this is a discussion board and were talking about 2.0 therefore a post is going to get large with 2.0 discussions.
i dont see what unstickying it will achieve other than to create further posts on the same topic of discussion

Yes. Exactly what I was saying some time ago. But, of course, we should put a link to this thread for discussion.
 
Its just a sugestion :P

Here's my take anyway... A 2.0 sticky should be about the current status of 2.x - probably one of the first questions on a new users mind when they come to this forum. I'm not saying we should close this thread either.

I just think perhaps a post with the current status of 2.x (WIP) and the projects (musty and drakaz) working on making it happen; also some a few lines answering the standard 'but android is open source, why cant we just compile the google source' question might be more usefull.

That could then link to this and any other threads that discuss any 2.x related things. I'm not sure if we should move it to just the FAQ tho because I suspect most people won't bother reading that and open a new thread. But a big sticky saying android 2.x will be read by new users right away.

Anyway I dont mind either way, what do you guys think?
 
There's already a thread about it, and according to our investigation this particualr piece of news does not relate to i7500.

Once again, I agree with this. I think it should be no-reply sticky, which would be updated as things develop. This thread would then be used for discussion about it (as I mentioned before).

That's better because current thread's first page doesn't provide much info on current development status, and because this thread is altogether too large to be informative -- it's to hard for anyone new to this forum to filter out concrete and up-to-date info on the subject.

i agree, now we only need someone to compile all important bits about musty rom, he will also be responsible to update the thread as things progress. :)
 
I'd love to make a new thread (and rename this one to "*-discussion"), but some solid info for the first post would be a good thing! :p
